Doing very well this year in our u20's is Josh and his started scoring a few try's. His filled in superbly for the injured Tommy Makinson.

For people who dont know much about him his birthday is May 1993 that makes him 17 and will be at the start of next year too! I think Makinson is being given a first team contract next season he is another exciting player to watch.

Other news our best junior Lewis Gailbraith (U15's) just turned down the chance to join Huddersfield. They offerd him everything but the lure of Australia next year with Saints kept Lewis at the club. He will make it i have no doubts. The lad is a absolute animal.

I feel most in in the younger ranks would perform well if thrown in with such a talented reserve team at the minute. The likes of David Pike?? Tom Tunstall (who has been in incredible form this year an been unlucky not to be given abigger chance) and dare I say it Josh Greaves??

yes he is but there are several 'regulars' from the u20's who are not playing in the nines who will be playing in the 18's

What regular u20's would this be exactly?

I'd probably guess at the likes of Wakefield, Karalius, Ant Walker, Danny Jones. All have made appearances for the 20's this year despite still being eligible for the 18's. Would suspect it will be the young first teamers that are going to the nines, Armstrong, Ellis, Bradbury, Gaskell etc

Am sure there is a cheap point to be made about the "injured" Tommy Makinson being given a first team contract, but I will resist the opportuntiy to make it!

I don't think it'll be a strong Wigan team as the better players are playing in the nines at Leeds.

Would suprise me if the younger players arent given a chance to shine again on wednesday as they have all played well since being thrown in the deep end and what way to get better experience then stuffing them pies

Good prospect Jones just lacks the speed....on the point of makinson I heard he will be fit to play in the England team...think he injuried his knee but he won't b fit for the last few games....makinson, ashe, forster, hale, karailius all been offered first team contracts as far as I have hard...Forster makinson and ashe are the best prospects we have through the a lot of the ages...btw whos this dan brotherton
