seems a daft risk to take to throw him back in the play offs. with the emergence of Emmitt and Tony P filling in well at prop, I dont think we need a half fit Maurie in competitive play off action.

On the otherhand, if he can play in the next 2 league games, thats great news.

I think we should use him to his full potential until he leaves the club, we really miss his impact from the bench.

Be good to have him back - offers something no other player at the club does.

I wouldn't have him in place of Emmit to be honest, although it probably is going to happen.

I'd sooner drop Hargreaves, but he is a starting type and Maurie is an impact type and therefore that is a non-starter as well.

Where is all this love for Emmit coming from? He's solid enough but he won't make a contribution to winning a tight game. He won't make a break, make a key offload or put a big tackle in.

totally agree, if he's fit to play he should play.

this is great news, at the very least he attracts more defenders then most other props, therefore spreading the defensive line very thin which we can exploit, get him in!

You've forgotten what he,s capable of. Risk worth taking in my opinion, icing on the cake if we play Leeds and he flattens Bailey in his last game.

Trouble is, that he hasn't changed a game for 2 or more seasons now, has he? Can't honestly remeber the last big impact he had on a game. Maurie of old should have walked back into the team, but his time has gone, better to stick with the kids that aren't letting us down, even if they don't have the same potential impact.

Well, since Emmitt wasn't playing for Leigh tonight then we can safely assume he's playing for us this weekend. I think he's doing ok for his age given that props take longer to develop than other players. While a fit and feisty Maurie would be ideal, Emmitt will do ok.

Don't agree with that. He had a few good performances even this year - when he's fully fit he's a real asset IMO. When he's got niggling injuries he can be ineffective.

That's about right. Even in his less effective guise, he'll still give us that bit of extra presence that we've been lacking in the front row. Good news.
