Its now a regular two hour programme,good for them. It also has some very good and potentially interesting guests,again good for them.

But does any one else find themselves shouting at the radio "for fooks sake shut the fook up Jack you blathering old git and just let your guest talk"

I really do like Phil Kinsella though, he is by far the best RL presenter on air.

Is Phil Kinsella the anti-Warrington one, won't shut up about the fact that Catalans are hitting form.

I think Kinsella Is pretty much straight down the middle.

I have said this for a while now and some time ago Phil Kinsella posted here in response to my comments about Jack Dearden. The programme and concept of the 2 hours on a Thursday are excellent and Phil is pretty measured and articulates himeslf really well. Even Trevor Hunt is pretty good.

Jack Dearden is a joke and discredits the game at times. I have no doubt he is well informed and has the right motives but he just need to SHUT UP. He regularly asks for opinions then proceeds to shout over the top of the response and I am surprised his producers haven't pulled him by now as I know a number of people who just turn off when the guy is on. Me included.

Message for you Jack - wind your neck in as it's not [uYOUR[/u opinion people are interested in all the time and you should take heed of people like Phil Kinsella and also Alan Jackson on BBC Merseyside. Even though he's more knowledgable about football than RL Jacko is a master at presentation and even manages to get sense out of Ray French, Alan [i'Lickle Bockle Scott Moower' [/iRooney and Ted [i'No Dewt Abewt it' [/iOliver.

BBC Manchester's programme is better when Jack Dearden is on holiday.

He is the one who thinks Cats will beat Wire on Sunday, I am sure they are people who think Saints will beat Leeds on Sat but that doesn't make them anti-Leeds!

PK is the most knowledgable, inpartial comentator/pundit on GMR.

He even works for BBC Yorkshire on some of their games which IMO proves his inpartiality.

I don't mind Jack Dearden to be honest he comes across as a passionate RL fan and yes I know he can get a bit over excited at times but for me it makes the programme.
The comments about Phil Kinsella are spot on,by far the best commentator on RL in all the media.

Yes, I agree with most of the posts here. I think Jack Dearden does talk a bit too much and needs to tone it down a little and is sometimes a detriment to my enjoyment of the programme. Also agree that Phil Kinsella is excellent and makes well articulated and expressed points and asks the guests pertinent questions. Also think Trevor Hunt is fine.
On Radio Merseyside I find Alan Jackson quite funny, especially the way he talks to Ray sometimes and I do enjoy the programme which sometimes has a more 'Last Of The Summer Wine' quaint approach. I think Allan Rooney is great and is obviously knowledgeable and passionate about the game and Saints in particular, along with Ray French and also don't mind Ted and the Widnes guy who is sometimes on.

No doubt but he likes the sound of his own voice too much and is like a starstruck sycophantic child when any of the players are in. He does my head in.
