Its understandable that good young players are going to want to try their hand in Australia, good luck to them.

Just wish we could come up with a scheme that when/if they return to the UK we had first option on them or let them go there on some sort of lend/lease type scheme where we retain theit UK registration

No smoke without fire. It's nigh on certain he's leaving. It's basically the end of the season prior to the expiry of his deal. No way would the club let it get this close to expiry if they could get him tied to a long term deal. And no way would Graham himself leave himself with such a short contract if he wanted to stay.

I'll bet it is at the stage where his agents are negotiating with the NRL clubs. He is one of the hottest properties in rugby league, he'll get a top dollar deal wherever he wanted to go.

Big loss to SL but can't blame him for going.

I suppose you could say it's good for England but it will take more than a few English players in the NRL to finally beat the Aussies.

Graham will be at Saints next season and after that, providing the offer is good enough. Perhaps we should start by making him Captain for next year. The Aussie agent was appointed to see what offers were possible and as a negotiating start point with Saints for the 2012 season.
