With both teams looking to build a run of form for the run in to the play-offs a winner will be hard to predict, not that is ever is. A few questions to follow:

Wilkin, Soliola, Wheeler and Fa'asavalu are definitely out. There are doubts over Eastmond and Meli aswell. The rest of the squad should be fit to play.

Wasn't Wilkin due back for the Leeds game? Apparently, Eastmond was close to playing in the Wigan game, and didn't play last week so he can't be too far away.

Leave Eastmond and Wilkin out for a couple of weeks yet. Make sure they're 100 percent fit to play.

I'd rest the whole team. No point giving away all the trade secrets in a league game when we've got them in the cup as well.

I expect Kyle to come back, but possibly not play the full 80, should be a good game and as Leeds are the only club in the competition with any injuries we should walk over them, oh wait one...

We had Webb, Burrow, Kylie, Ali, Diskin out last week and could have Smith and Hall added to that bunch for this week.
I doubt any of those missing from last week will be anywhere near a return this week.

Leeds showed on Sunday that they still have enough class to get over the line when the odds are against them... and much depends on which Saints side turns up, the one away at Wigan and we'd take some beating, the one against Salford we are going to struggle in defence.

To me this game has no relevance to the semi final, both teams should finish in the top 4 come the play offs, 2nd at best for Saints 3rd at best for Leeds (if either become consistant) so the 2 points are not quite life and death to either side, the teams on show will be completely different and form can change markedly before then too.

One thing i failed to consider before is that given the heat over the weekend, Saints have had 46hrs extra rest and Leeds did play in warmer late afternoon conditions, the recovery period might have some effect too but will probably be negligible.

In this weeks RL papers it said Wilkin would be out for another 2-3 weeks. The Dr. has said he needs a couple more weeks to get it proper.

A Leeds loss will see them 7 points behind us and I don't see them getting that back, a win for them gives a gap of 3 points and they could overhaul that.

Whilst a loss would not be devastating, I think we need the win with Wire playing Crusaders and Hull at the Dulls, that's almost a guaranteed 2 points each for them.

Yeah, whilst defeat wouldn't be a disaster, a win for us would be very significant. It would set out another statement that we can go anywhere and win and no doubt Warrington will start panicing aswell when we play them in a few weeks and we could be still level on points. Pretty big game this Saturday IMO.

Yes you can pay on the gate but get there early it should be a near to capacity crowd especially as we have cut the capacity down again this season.

Fair point there is a psychological aspect in the battle for second, if we do win our next two Warrington will travel to Wigan having to win stay in second (a big defeat could even put them 3rd without Saints playing) and we have a Sunday home game that could put us 2 points clear, pretty huge in the run up to the Wire game.

After Quins at home we do have a very tricky 4 weeks before our next home game against the Bulls, Wakey away, Wire away and Leeds in the Semi, which will have a major bearing on our season - we always struggle at Wakey, Wire are perennially due that win and Leeds is too close to call this far away, 3 wins would give us so much of a boost going into the final 4 matches and play offs...

any news on Hall and Smith for Leeds? if they're out we should win this at a canter, but you never know!
