I wouldn't use a game v Leeds U20 as any guideline. Leeds are awful at that level.

They also sent a team to play in the Cheltenham nines yesterday.

Foster is quicker and kicks goals very well, maybe he's in for that reason.

I also heard if tom plays one more game he is up for pay rise which is wriiten in his contract, not sure how true it is.

Bradbury was named in the 19 for one of our matches this season when we had a real problem filling one centre role, so I don't think anyone is taking one match against Leeds as a guideline. Clearly Bradbury has potential. He wouldn't have been named in the 19 if not, even if he wasn't played in the end.

Can anyone confirm how many tries in how many match Armstrong has scored for the U20s this year?

**BUMP** Just had a quick look on the Saints site - Armstrong has scored 13 tries in 7 appearences!! Jeez Louise!!
In the games he's played for the 1st team he's looked solid and had safe hands, now it looks like he's ripping it up in attack, its very promising for his future imo.
Gaskell, a name touted as a future star has got 4 in 7 and a lad called Tom Makinson (who I've not heard mentioned) has got 4 in 6 apps.
No appearences for either Frodsham or Ellis this year due to injury (or for a guy called Alex Trumper, who has a fantastic name).

Personally think Armstrong is at the stage where he needs to be either getting loaned out to a championship club, or else getting first team experience at Saints.

He's on a dual contract with Widnes, isn't he? I would've thought they'd be eager to get hold of him.

Yep, we seem to be really behind other clubs this year when it comes to giving our young guys chances at other clubs. Armstrong, Foster and Maggenis should all be duel contracted.
