Soliola looked anonymous in attack during the Four Nations.

yup, at superleague level, he'll do a job in attack, but his real gift is defence. I can honestly say i've never seen such a consistantly ferocious tackler. He'll put the fear of god into attackers who (hopefully) will avoid him and move inside for our forwards to smash

IMO the back 3rd of the season I saw a real improvement in Meli he made more yards going forward than ever and look a danger running the ball back... its just a shame he still suffers from brain farts and what happened in the Grand Final happened

Is Soliola and Smelly a good idea? Both huge, immobile and unable to deal with any kind of kicks.

Maybe so, Soliola seems to be a guy that lets his rugby skills do the talking - unlike the late Gilmour of course that persisted on a punch-up.

I feel sorry for soliola already as I can see quite a bit of hype about him and I think many fans of yours are expecting a bit too much from him. I think he will be solid but unspectacular. He's a defencive centre. you will get a few big hits which we all love, but I feel if he's not bashing teams of the park then he will cop it from the fans. if you lot stay off his back he could be a belter

I think any player who has won three consecutive GFs should be allowed to have a crack at their fourth.

I'm pretty convinced he'll be in the back row most of the time, as Gilmour was last year.
