Anyone in to auto electrics?
The bearings have gone inside the Alternator of my car, so I am on the lookout for it to be repaired. Just wondering if any muckers on here can do this, before I just go to any random garage.

If i was you i would go for a service exchange one if the bearing have gone the rest of the internals will not be far behind and a service exchange would give you 12 months warranty as well

Bearing gone, most likely it has damaged the casing the the bearing runs in. exchange it Syd.

OK exchanging it seems the way forward here... dont want to be taking it into Audi, they are rather heavy on their prices, so thought some local mucker who reads these forums may be able to take the business... give me a shout if you need to know exact make, model, chassis number of car ok.

Off North Road opposite Lowe House Church there's a turning called Ward St.

Off there on the left hand side there's a little road which leads to some old industrial buildings

There's a very good auto electrician up there.

My car needed a new starter motor according to the dealer but he managed to repair it for a very reasonable price.

More towards your homestead Syd, Tom Yates Auto Electrics in Cadishead. Done a fair few bits and pieces for me over the years.

Probably too honest for his own good as he has advised me to not to bother with various things main dealers have come up with.
