as a Wire fan looking in thought Benthams on-side call for Lee Smiths last try was VERY dubious : as much as I don`t like Saints (sorry !!) in any other match with any other video ref I think the try would have been ruled out

but a great effort by Saints and well done !!

at 11..10 it was anyones game..but that little bald garden gnome made sure leeds of the win.
having said that we only scored one try..we had enough amount of ball to score when leeds kept dropping it..
simple as..potter in.... 1st blank season for a few years.

Dont blame the decision. We made our OWN mistakes. Silly offload by Maurie and Shocking defence from Hargreaves cost us the game.

Leeds where the Best team for 45 minutes. They deserved the win. We had them in our pocket at 8 - 0 but silly mistakes cost us.

It was and it hurts, i cried when the decision was given. It hurts because it is 3 defeats on the bounce but having looked back i knew the game was gone at 8-8. We had Leeds rattled then blew it.

As a Bradford fan-I feel that Saints were robbed tonight,yeah Meli made a few mistakes but the vid ref made one VERY BIG mistake-Smith was offside.
Glad Eastmond got first try,14-1 at my local bookies XD Shame he couldnt of got more trys tonight.

at least the game was entertaining from an outsider, I was hoping it would go right to the whistle with one point but that last try put a sour note on the game not that I wanted leeds to lose

leeds have been the best team all season.. eastmond was the only player who look dangerous for saints tonite.. really thought it was goner be saints time this time and put 20 on +6 which i thought was a guarantee but it proved it wasnt...

potter out ive not seen that many game of saints this season but from what i have seen saints ant look the class rugby outfit they where few years ago.....

For instance, in this case you have failed to make mention of the two catastrophic errors from Meli that lead to 2 Leeds tries (ok, so the second one was also followed by the offside-but-not-offside decision, but it was what gave them possession).

Meli is more to blame for you losing that game more than any referee....

the last try was dubious.... but theres plenty of arguements either way to it being given or dissallowed.

The thing is with Meli. He would not have had to deal with the kick had Eastmond not stupidly have a second attempt in Leeds own 20 when we had them rattled.

It also hurts that the guy does actually try his best for Saints. He constantly made yards all night with ball in hand, just like all season. Obviously it as cost us a try tonight (thats 3 teies gifted to leeds in 3 Grand Finals) but atleast he is good going forward. Ade Gardner is neither!

Are you being serious ? The difference being that Ade had a walk in. Yet fu*ked up again. He got nearer to the car park than the line and that was before Webb put the knees in.

Eastmond's try was a clear knock-on and the most dubious decision of the game.

Credit to Saints for all their determination but they just weren't good enough when it come down to the crunch and I can only see things getting worse for them next season...

Was the penalty the right call? I couldn't see either the incident or the screen but I got a few texts saying it was 'dodgy'. Not seen the offside either, but you could see from the body language that there wasn't a person in the entire ground who thought it was a try.

I would have been unhappy if the try had been given against us. However you got the 50:50s last week and in some previous Grand Finals. Also there was more than a suspicion of a knock on in Saints try.
Leeds kicking game was far superior tonight and that's really what won them the game.

Only one person thought it was a try, unfortunately for you it was the Video Ref. It was definately offside, what's the point of the Video Referee when he ignores what's in front of him.

I thought it was a try, it might have been marginally offside but the rail cam was slightly ahead of the play so it was actually quite hard to judge, but I though Eastmond's first try was a clear knock on (bounced off Donald's arm) so swings & round a bouts.

Being fair to Bentham you can't see where McGuire's foot makes contact with the ball and Smith COULD have been onside. IMO it was BOD at the best, but I do think he was offside. You were however behind at that time anyway so it didn't cost you the game as such (like had you been 11-10 p for example)
