Must admit watching the two games against Huddersfield it is clear that the Giants coaching staff have worked out the Saints style of play.

Even last night, without first team regulars, the defensive shape was the same and it was evident that the Saints set moves (wrap around) with Pryce/Wellens/Gidley was being snuffed out.

It really does feel that Saints would have to come up with something different if they drew Hudds in the first round of the play-offs. The Giants win the tackle on most occasions and swarm around wide passing moves. Potter will have to earn his corn and the worry is that Saints need to find an alternative style to counter this.

It depends how much the Final takes out of them next week. It's difficult to peak for that game and then back up a few weeks later for the Play Off series. I imagine along with Hull KR, Wigan and Leeds they'll be a very tough nut to crack in the Play Offs, but we'll see.

The way we're 'playing' at the moment, we're a target for all of the other 7 teams.

If we can get some props back, then it would be completely different to last nights game.

I'm no more concerned about Hudds than I am about the rest. Any one of them could beat us with very little resistence if we remain as we are. Hopefully, a miracle will occur during this fortnight off and they'll look something like their previous selves again by the time we travel to Headingly. But I have to confess that the hope in me is but a little flicker!

Every team worked out our style of play, its due to us not having a style, were still deciding on one, once we do, thats it, watch out the rest.

Playoffs are pretty open this season guys, don't think leeds and saints will get it their own way.

HUdds and hull kr will be real tough nuts and could easily cause upsets in week one, and if you lose you're up against it from there on in.

Then theres wigan who always do very well in the playoffs (true story, check out their win stats).

Those 3 teams will be underdogs but could quite easily get to old trafford.

if we dont win it, i hope hudds actually get the double. They are a well drilled team who play to the limit of the rules, which is what all tough competition is about, imo

As well drilled as they are saints and leeds should be able to edge it in a playoff situation due to the extra class they posess.

Had saints had long for the semi, they'd have won with the weight of posession they had.

We won't beat any of the play off teams if we play like we are at the moment.

We'll beat ourselves, though, so I suppose that is one playoff team we will beat.

Huddersfield will have big hangover from CC, win or lose. I hope we'll get them in the play offs and take them to the cleaners.

The way we are playing I don't expect to beat any team in the playoffs.

dont forget we'll have our front row back, and very fresh with it. That will make a massive difference, maurie and cayless in thefront row and tony p running out wide ripping people to bits! Well ive got 20/1 for them to win by 21-25 points next week,but their 12/1 for the grand final too.Good odds imo,but it depends how they react to the cup final,would a win give them a huge boost before the play-offs?Would a loss be a kick in the teeth?Dont forget while were having a week off,they had theirs last week.

I think hull kr and giants will go all out to make that 3rd spot as they would play us at KR.

All the teams in this year's play-offs are capable of beating us and/or Leeds. I haven't felt the same about the post-season line ups before. Exciting times.

i for one am not convinced either saints or leeds are nailed on for final, imo giants,kr,wigan and with the way wakey are playing , and maybe even le cats are in with a big chance.
