I thought Meli had a decent game apart from that brain fart. I'd go so far as to say that the games I have seen this season (few and far between sadly), Meli has been the better winger compared to the Wallet on the right.

Meli over the last couple of seasons as cost us on grand final night with these stupid brain farts. He cant adjust to the conditions.

harsh on gardner - aprt from one dropped ball he took the ball up well and helped out in the forwards.

Seeing Meli on the teamsheet just reminds of what to expect. Tom Armstrong was safer under the ball.

Meli had a short spell when he finally returned when he seemed to have worked on his technique but is slipping back to his old performances.

I nearly shat a lung when i saw him fluff at the ball on the last wigan attack.

Re Gardner. He collected the ball on the bounce with 2 wigan players in front of him, about 10m apart. He had plenty of space to try and go round the opposite winger and back himself, but instead he comes inside, jogs for a bit, then walks into the defender and falls over. Does he not have the confidence to at least try and beat a man?

Id Take Meli over Gardner anyday .

Him and Meli would make an awesome wing duo

tbh Meli is a joke of a player and simply not good enough for a top SL team like Saints. The guy might make yards with ball in hand but he is a complete liability and I'm just glad he was only up against Roberts who is possibly worse.

Roberts had an off night tonight but has been very good for the last couple of months.

Not commenting on Meli but Roberts is a good winger.

Which is worrying because Meli is better than Gardner.

not defencively he isn't, and that seems to be the more important role for wingers

Meli's defence is pretty damn strong. What lets him down is his total lack of ability when it comes to dealing with kicks.

I dont think Meli played that badly at all apart from his shocker in the first half.

i always say that he never runs the ball with any pace and then just falls to the ground.
