I'm a wigan fan but enjoyed watching a great game last night.
Was just wondering when meli went in for that last try, why did he tell the ref to go to the screen? Is he [ithat[/i honest? Or was the ref not going to give the try??? Any ideas?

IMO He knew he was offside and thought Silverwood wouldn't have given it so he asked for him to check the screen knowing that the camera angles wouldn't show it either. Checking offsides from kicks using the video ref rarely helps.

I have been very critical of Meli in the past and do think he is too erratic for us to say the least . Fair play though the last couple of weeks he has looked a far better player so credit where it is due.

competition for places sees improvement at all levels.
