After last nights reality check I think now is the time that some supporters stop this daft theory that Saints are unbeatable and are going to walk the Super League this year. I predicted earlier in the week that playing the Bulls a week after they were mauled at home against Warrington would be a potential banana skin and so it proved. The 5 trys in 10 minutes was great to see but after the break we switched off and we seriously struggled this could be down to a gruelling Easter period or more likely the players thought the game was won.

I was also disapointed with the atmosphere when we went behind with 10 minutes to go. That should have been the time when raised the roof and got behind the players to urge them forward.

Well, we did try. Obviously not up to your standard though.

Maybe its me over reacting but I just feel that we as fans could do more.

Last night was really difficult. They'd been so poor and so embarrassing sometimes, and looked so unlikely to score anytime before the next millennium during the second half that it was really, really difficult to get up the energy to shout them on. I know lots of us tried, especially when they were moving towards the right tryline. I was ho with yelling encouragement. But they never looked like they were going to score; it just wasn't coming together for them. That makes supporting vocally a difficult task.

Things just didnt come together last night at all apart from when scored them 5 tries in 10 mins. I can see your point these things happen!

We could have booed for longer?

Let's hope it was a hiccup or a wake up call and we are bounce back next week and hammer our opposition

. Rather get beat last night than in scotland next week.

I seriously think that this will do us the world of good. Obviously, i would much rather we won the game as i want us to win every game, but thats not going to happen. Even many of here were saying we could go unbeaten and asking the question, this has brought us back down to earth and give us a reality check, which will make us better, IMO. It shows we are not unbeatable, despite what some fans think and it gives the players a kick up the ar$e.

When big Tony and Gidley didn,t show last night I thought we might struggle with the game. Our completion rate was one of the worse I,ve seen this season and was very similar to the Hull KR game.
Think this time last year we had lost 5 games, so to lose only 2 games so far is not exactly panic mode.
Also the games we,ve lost the ref has operated on a skinny 10, the bulls had moved up 3 metres before we got the ball away to the first receiver.
Like someone has already mentioned we have got to learn from the reality check.

And louder and harder and more tough in fact while we are at it let's slag the players, their wives, their offspring, their family, their friends, their choice of furniture, their holiday destination for the next ten years, their choice of film noir, their fashion sense, their favorite choice of meal-time snack and their reason for being.

But on a more serious note lets just realise that sometimes we can be out-smarted and out-played and just look to the next game

Exactly, I'd rather us get the bad game out of the system now, rather it be at Murrayfield or the cup game.

Leeds got humiliated so our result is merely a wasted chance, not a complete disaster.

That was only a small minority of the usual suspects though.
In fact they were probably the ones booing Friday night.Memory span of a goldfish the lot of em.

Knowsley Road's atmosphere is dead.

On the contrary all it did was support the theory that we beat ourselves.

We were appalling, as in really, really appalling yet lost by 1 try after walking to a 26-10 lead (despite being terrible).

If Saints turn up, Saints win. If Saints don't turn up, they may get beat by a couple of points.

League is "as you were" so effectively good time to have a loss. We were flat, did Easter catch up with us?, and we really missed Gidders and Puletua.

Let's not get too carried away.

We have overperformed and our squad fragility will catch up with us in key areas. However, while there is a playoff for the title, we are still capable of getting in the top 2/4 and strong OT contenders.

I think we will bounce back but the SL is more unpredictable than ever - and this is good - how may times in the past 10 seasons could bottom two really turnover a top two?
