I was very impressed with how well you played today and over recent weeks.

However myself and Lawrie were left with the question as to whether or not you can keep this level of form up until the end of the season.

I'd be interested to get your views on this, do you think you've peaked too early?

I don't really believe in all this peaking business. IMO, you go into every game to play as well as you can and win the game as comfortable as possible. Surely you can't tell the players not to try there best in case they peak to soon. I understand that they could maybe train to peak at a certain time, but i believe that they aim to play as well as possible in every game.

Nah, we'll have a blip somewhere down the line, but I don't think we've peaked yet. The defence is as good as ever but attacking-wise, we've got some more yet.

As long as we're fine for the business end I say.

I dont think its a question of too early, we have finished top the last four years if this was football we would be 4 times champs and 3 times cup winners but as we found for the last 2 years its all about a cold night in october that decides it. The play off's have defo de-valued the weekly rounds of SL. We are a fast fair weather team that does not play well in poor conditions and until we learn to play in all types of weather we will be found wanting come GF night.

Thought we were awsome today especially in the first 20 mins untill the injury. I was expecting a tough game from Cas, They were awful.

History shows that we play more or less at same level all year which the league tables of the past show.

And more often than not we have a cup come end of year so don't think we have peaked as we often play at this level.

We have a very thin squad, a few injuries and if our kids dont hack it straight away and we could have a bit of a dip.
On a connected subject i dont think saints are playing any better than previous seasons, i actually think the quality of the comp has been reduced significantly this year.

Where we are right now isnt unusual to us, we have been in this situation for the past 3 years so to answer the question, I dont think we will struggle to finish top or win the cup. Winning the GF is a different issue however, we have to aim to confirm our superiority this year and not blow it again. I do think having Puletua and Leeds looking much poorer than earlier years will help this though.

i think what goes in our favour at the moment is obviously were winning but it seems to me when ive gone and seen the games we arnt fully firing but still wining quite easily and it looks as though were not getting knackered and these are usually the bits that hurt teams later on, hull game was a good example of that i think this is why were letting a few more points in on the 2nd half after we know we have won the games, its a case of slacking off a bit to save the energy

More than they thought they would i imagine. He seems popular in oz sor far, riled Mason and then completely outclassed him on the pitch.

Still dont think we are playing to potential at all. We could be smoother in attack, defence has been awesome. We didnt play well at wigan, but defence wins you games

I agree there was a few poor set moves used today at Cas, and at Wigan we were pretty poor.

If a few poor set moves results in us putting 68 on a top 6 side then

We peak early every year, you just watch us, we will probably go the reast the season unbeaten, win the CC, reach the GF, win the GF in the rain to I may add...and then lose the big prize, the world club cup. Just you see, typical saints this.

Not quite. We usually loose a few to start with so this year we have peaked too too early and infact will have peaked again come GF time.

We haven't.
We haven't exaclty been amazing for more than one game on the bounce.
We were good yesterday, but our opposition wasn't the greatest - and that's no disrespect to Cas. We were mediocre against Wigan and the same against Hull (IMO obviously).

There is still alot of work to be done with this team, we're just having a good spell at the minute.

I agree, first half yesterday especially we were really good but other than that I don't think we have hit our best yet.

But only time will tell how things will pan out over the course of the season, I am sure we will have highs and lows like every other club.

We haven't been fantastic yet this season and are still winning, thats testament to the team.

Frankly i'm very concerned that we will be burnt out by the play-offs again, especially with our thin squad.

I'd hope we rest some key players frequently around July. Even if it means we get defeated a few times, the most important thing is to be fit for the play-offs.

We're playing quite well, but I think our recent opponents haven't really tested us a great deal. Hull were poor and by the sounds of it, Cas were very poor aswell.

Our performances against Leeds are more worthy of a mention.
