Really impressed me with his whole game,place kicking is spot on. Lets hope he can progress right up until Longy decides enough is enough!

He's an awesome talent. Fast, good footwork, good passer of the ball, good kicking game. He looks to have bulked up slightly too, which will hopefully make him more durable.

I just hope he can improve his tackling technique a bit,seems to get his shoulder in the wrong position. As you say though he has added a bit of beef whilst he's been out so that should sure him up.

shows how my minds somewhere else..i was at the game today didnt notice an arnold come on...they all look the same to me..

He even got in a couple of cracking tackles, which is encouraging given his injury of last year and being of smaller size than the usual present day RL player.

He's great to watch. I hope he just kicks on from here for us.

That's where I'd stick him as well, but we've had people calling for him to deputise for Wello, play out on the wing in place of Meli etc.

The 'utility' tag can hinder a player's development, IMO.

Loved his involvement in the Dean try. Many would've got white line fever but he threw out a fantastic accurate ball for Dean to go over. You can tell he's got a good rugby brain.

It's not a good game to judge a player like Eastmond. We all know he's fast, can kick and has good hands. But how is he at directing a side around the pitch that isn't making breaks at will? How would he cope defensively in a high intensity game? We still have no idea how he will go at scrum half as he's not been given the chance yet. It's about time he was starting matches if he is going to be taking over the 7 shirt next season.

IMO eastmond should have started at 7. Long should have been made to fight for is postion.

It wouldn't make sense just to wait for long to call it a day coz we not 100% sure if he is the real deal.

Also wheeler looked the part. Would be great if both live up to there billing and being saints halfbacks for next 10 years!

It'd have been nice to see him getting involved in more of the plays and moves today, as he seemed to just be a supporting runner for most of the time he was on.
