Anyone know what the parking's like in wigan for matchday? Wheres the best place to park? Should i get the train?

Train is the best idea. Its abit of a walk but not exactly a treck.

If you do decide to drive then there is plenty of parking, get there early enough and park by the Red Robin or park round the back of the ground and there is plenty of parking there.

But getting away can be a pain in the backside if you have to use saddle junction.

if your on your own, get the train, if you want to drive, hide all your saints stuff and park on robin park, but be prepared to take a while to get out

You'll get clamped if you get caught on there.

From a Wiganers point of view. if i was travelling back to St. Helens and had to drive i would park along Montrose avenue or even the Montrose pub (WN5 9RL). From there you can get away straight up Montrose ave and either at the top turn to Pemberton/Orrell or turn right and go past Heinz's up to Orrell post/ Billinge /carr mill way. No bottlenecks.

Also don't go near the JJB car parks, it's £4 to park.

Jump back into the Red Robin for a pint / shandy to let the roads clear and then sail straight home.

I know they've forecast rain, but surely it won't be that bad.

Or just go the way described above past Heinz and there is never normally any traffic problems at all

As No1 Saints Fan said don't park on the retail park otherwise you [uwill[/u get a parking fine (it will be on your car before you get into the ground).

get the train then into brunells for a cheap pint then next door to the chippy to keep you warm whilst strolling down to the ground. or there is a off license opposite the chippy if you want something a bit stronger whilst walking to the ground.

Let the train take the strain. 6.30pm from town. Return 10.20pm from Wigan.

If anyone is coming back in the car and taking the route round the back of Heinz, watch out for the speed camera just before the motorway bridge.

That can only get you on the way in coming towards Heinz. Though you shouldn't be speeding anyway.
