Last night. When the video came on, and the blanket of silence enveloped Belle Vue lasting to the end of the minutes silence, that was potentially the most surreal moment of my life. A show of total respect, and togetherness in the game. I suppose the only thing I could liken it to was standing at the Last Post at Menin Gate.
That moment made me very proud of the game, and no matter what incidents have happened at Bell Vue in the past, last night was superb, a fitting tribute to a sad loss.
