| 1 - Lomax 6 Looks lively enough, but needs a trip to Staples for some double sided sticky tape for his dodgy hands
2 - Gardner 6 Took his try well but yet again tonight he was exposed by coming in to deal with a centre who wasn't going to score on his own
3 - Gidley 7 All class
4 - Gilmour 8 Brilliant defensively and unless I'm mistaken didn't get injured tonight
5 - Meli 8 Classic Meli performance. Solid defense, an awful lot of hard work and a couple of silly errors caused by not wanting to bend his back to pick a ball up
6 - Pryce 10 Simply brilliant. Controlled the side perfectly and shut a few people up who said he wasn't up to taking over from Longy as the general.
7 - Wheeler 8 Looked great at 6/7 (Whichever it was) and took his try very, very well. Looks to have a passing game too, has he got a positional kicking game?
8 - Graham 9 The best prop in Super League by the length of the M62.
9 - The King 8 Another controlling influence, superb defensively and caused mayhem with both dummy half running and passing
10 - Hargreaves 8 A very, very solid showing from the Brynster
11 - Clough 9 Superb performance from Brian tonight.
12 - Wilkin 9 Simply fantastic I thought. He can do it all, superb naturally gifted player and still so so good looking.
13 - Flannery 7 Another good half from him, hope everything goes well for him tonight.
14 - Ashurst 8 Very solid work, he looks a likely prospect for a Clough-esque role over the next couple of seasons. Is he a prop? Too small for that at the moment, but he can play second row for a couple of seasons for me.
15 - Fa'asavalu 8 Very, very good tonight.
16 - Cayless 6 He is struggling massively. Hopefully he turns a corner and gets back into the shape that made him such a force. But unfortunately it looks like a decade of toil has taken it's toll. I suspect this will be his last season.
17 - Puletua 8 Very classy performance from his, a genius offload or two and had the discipline to hold back on the showboating when we needed to grind it out.
Well done also to all concerned at Wakefield, that must have been an horrific night for them, they got through it with heads held high and I wish them luck for the remainder of the season.

| Pretty accurate overall. I think the youngsters should be forgiven for making a few errors, especially Lomax who had a decent game on his debut. It was no doubt a nerve wracking occasion for him.
I too am concerned about Cayless. He just looks like he's struggling out there every week and it may take a while to get confidence in doing certain things. We'll have to be patient with him.
I thought you scored Bryn highly though, didn't notice him to be honest and Big TP was worthy of a 9. Sensational performance and that offload was sublime.

Best team won tonight. From my perspective m.o.m was Peluta by a distance.
You scored Meli way too high. Dropped it twice and knocked on twice.
We were utter gash tonight but im not that bothered

Bit harsh on the lad that imo. Caught virtually every ball that came his way and as an 18 year old on his debut playing in a position he's only growing accustomed to, I thought he didn't look out of place in our side. Unlucky not to score.

have to agree here he was worth more than a 6 and have just commented this on another thread.
Tony P - although a class above at times I thought he looked tired and a little off the pace last night. When fit he will be great to watch. Seems a superb signing.

| Don't think your far off with these ratings. Matter of opinion but Lomax looked class, organised the defence well and took the ball up with REAL pace. Dropped a couple of balls, but so did many others.......Worth a 7.
Cayless is coming back from injury and will take a couple more games to get back to top form (if his shoulder is ok!)......

As Ande pointed out to me during the game it was really funny watching him telling Graham and Tony P they were out of position at kick offs, the kid has some big cajones for sure!

| I would have given KC slightly less - his passing was a bit wayward. I counted on four occassions where he passed the ball forward from dummy half - only two were picked up on by the ref.
And Lomax had a solid game - safe under the high ball (although wasn't really tested too much - but he can only catch what he was given and didn't fail). Didn't offer too much in attack, and committed a silly knock on early in the second half. But a solid debut - we can't expect an 18 year old making his first team debut to be an automatic shoe in replacement for someone of the class of Paul Wellens.

The worry for me is that he won't reach his best form again because of the injuries he's sustained. He's had alot of serious injuries recently and it looks like his confidence is completely shot to pieces. I hope he can recover, because on his day he is a class act, but unfortunately he looks like he's struggling at the moment.
