| Interesting how Sale Sharks have just appointed Ray Unsworth ex RL, Wigan and BARLA as their Academy Coach, Sale fans seem to think no one will be soon left in RL - LOL!

| Hate to be picky for what is something we have waited for for years now, but can't help feeling that the standard of the design for the outside of the stadium hasn't been reproduced for the inside in terms of terracing and seating, which appears from the pics to be purely functional. It is certainly no KFC. Having said that, huge credit must still go to the big Mac for pulling this off, and can't wait to see it for real.

A few people have said this and I don't understand what they are getting at, its grass with seats and standing areas for people who moaned about having a standing area. What is missing?

What I'm getting at is that the outside of the stadium has clearly had a lot of time and effort spent in its design, and this has made it a fantastic proposition, the inside doesnt appear to have had any though put into its desing, and as you say, as a result, it is grass with seats and a standing area. A bit of thought could have made this a far more impressive structure throughout.

| But the nearest pub is a good 10min walk you have either got them at fingerpost or glasshouse/running horses in the centre.

| That's my only concern. What are the surrounding facilities going to be like. Whats the parking going to be like is the main one, visiting from Warrington on a match day, I wouldn't like to think about an hour wait to get a space, then a two hour wait to get out, which happens if you park at some clubs who rent their stadia.
Another thing is eating. Granted KR isn't like the Trafford Centre food hall, but it's got a chippy, butty shop and a Morrisons that isn't packed because it's match day. Where will one eat? Will the stadium have mass queueing for an overpriced drink and ridiculously poor food or are they going to put some effort into that?
Exciting times ahead...

It's bound to be a bottleneck because fans are going to be directed to the two multistoreys at that end of town and there are some very small roundabouts there which I can see getting very clogged up. I don't know whether this still stands but when I went to a meeting at Saints to discuss the stadium in 2008, the plan was for the Council to spend some of their contribution on providing security at the multistoreys for matchdays.

There will be the sports cafe but it looks small and I don't know whether it will sell food. There were plans to have a few stall type thingies around the stadium but I can't make out whether that is still the case or not.
There's always Tesco!

I believe that the plans show there will be food and drink windows around the inside corridor of the stadium like there are at Leigh..... It looks like there are approx 16 of these.
See here.....

I have also noticed there is a "BEER CELLAR" now that is my kind of stadium!!!!

As has been stated there are ample refreshment stands within the main concourse of the ground itself. Add to this the dock off Tesco next door, McDonalds, Subway, Burger King and KFC on nearby retail parks and you should be well catered for fatty
The catering contract can be renegotiated with a new supplier as the previous ridiculous contract will become null and void upon leaving KR. I imagine those in charge will be able to negotiate a much better contract with *fingers crossed* much better quality of produce than the idiot that arranged the last one.
Parking wise there are two major retail parks either side of the stadium, it looks like the one with Halfords on are already planning on making it difficult to park there for free. And I imagine the Ravenhead one (with B&Q) may be subject to more patrolling especially on early kick off times but as there are already tons of unused spaces near I can't see why people wouldn't be allowed to park there especially as most shops close at the latest 8pm.
Failing that there is plenty of parking in the town centre accessible via the new bridge, and given the new grounds proximity to the train and bus stations it should be a lot easier for people to take advantage of public transport, a major reason why many fans found it difficult to get to KR every few weeks.
In terms of parking at the ground I believe there will be dedicated parking for Saints onsite but I'd imagine this will be limited and more for staff etc. I overheard someone asking TC about parking on the Tesco car park on match days, he said you will be able to park there with a pass, I imagine you'd have to pay for this though.
