He's playing fullback Saturday

I'm looking forward to seeing how he goes when given a full license to attack without the responsibility of marshaling the team.

I bet he scores atleast 1 try at fullback tommorow.

Less pressure on Lomax today, hopefully he can deliver. Although even if he makes the full back position his own, we still have a problem in the halves

Some of us were saying when he broke through that he looked the successor for the fullback role.

It suits his natural game.

He was absolutely devastating in attack today and took every bomb they put at him, and the bulls peppered him at every opportunity.

I champion swift at fullback as well as he is another with a natural running/support game but is somewhat faster than Lomax.

What was clearly noticeable was how when he linked into the line on the run around it caused the bulls defence to panic. They didnt know whether to go for him and leave the gap for the threequarters or stand back and let Jonny run at them.

He was very good.

There is no reason why Paul can't play at another position. I don't buy this he can only play FB arguement.

The fact that he's terrible probably excludes from the other positions. Why would we want to play him? The only other positions he could play would be centre and backrow. But we've far better options in those positions. He should be dual registered, we don't need him.

I asked the question last week and we've now seen why he hasn't looked himself: responsibility and organisation.. He was superb today. I was never saying he was a bad player, and today showed what he is capable of.

Tbh, I wouldn't want to get carried away with today and it could still go tits up. So, I assume that's why Brown has said Wellens will play? Lets see how he's done after these next couple of tricky fixtures before saying he's our new FB.

I doubt it. I can't see what McManus's motivation would be for insisting on Wellens being in the team, nor can I see Brown accepting such a stipulation.

Who then? I can't see anyone else at the club having an influence on team selection to the point where they could insist on a player playing.
