Interesting that they say he's been brought up on the 2 referee system and that was a factor that led to his poor technique. I thought they'd only had two refs for the last couple of seasons?

As I said on the Wigan board, all we (players, coaches and supporters) want is consistency.

Agreed, Luke O'Donnell in particular seemed to be a prolific offender.

What we want is different from you, we want consistent fair play.

I must have missed one but the two I saw were slightly different in that in one instance the player was held whilst srtanding and in the other one the second tackler had let go. The lima thing was different in that wilkin was held on the ground with nowhere to move his torso i.e. he couldn't just twist away from the lima KFC effort. I believe thats why the punishment on lima may seem harsh (or not harsh enough depending on your standpoint).

I think most fans would like to see common sense applied by officials rather than consistancy, unfortunatly I dont think you can have both due to each ref's different aspect of situations and events. To have consistancy the game would have to be by the book and that would be awfull.
Also not sure 2 of those tackles last night were anything like Lima's
