The players you've mentioned walmsley apart had all played at the top Beaumont like I said couldn't break into our side and is there because of injuries obviously somebody at your club saw something in him I just don't see it

Reading all the comments on the Hull KR forum, they don't see him as a big loss at all and are surprised we were interested in him.

Do you remember Hull fans re: Turner? He's been one of our best players this year (and we're currently higher in the table than them). I'd suggest the range of reactions on the HKR board is a bit like if someone signed Gary Wheeler from us.

Hull KR have just signed Weyman to replace Paea. That's an in and an out for their first choice prop. Losing a squad player won't worry them to much in the light of more major reshuffling. Its only because we've struggled in the prop department that this is interesting to us.

I'm happy. He looked pretty big, yet reasonably athletic. He also looked like he didn't mind getting stuck in to the Wigan pack, which given our lacklustre forward performances earlier in the season is an important quality. He's 25, so coming into a good age for a prop, but won't have many miles on the clock so could easily end up going of for another 10 years. Players like Paul Anderson and Jamie Peacock hardly featured in Senior rugby until 23, 24, 25.

Beaumont is the sort of player we would have been reasonably happy to keep purely because he's homegrown and wont let us down when needed. I'll be honest and say he's not really noticed when he plays. Maybe you will get the best from him and he'll turn out great.

He's still very young for a prop, most only come into their own in their late 20's and have their best years in their 30's

I think the main reason HKR fans are not too bothered we are losing Richie is because he hasnt played as much, so to the average fan who only sees home games and reads the try scorers for away games they dont see a lot.

Rich broke his leg against FC in a friendly before last season started, that pretty much ruled him out. That cant count against him really. He hasnt been on our books since 16 as far as i am aware, late entry sort of thing, i know Rich personally, use to hang around with him as a kid and his brother.

Rich is fairly fit, does give the odd penalty away but which forward doesnt. You cant really say he is a loss or not, he is almost an unknown quantity, if he was 19-20 for example, like Scott Taylor it would be more of a loss, we have James Green ready to come through, id be more upset if you took him off us.

As i say, its likely down to the fact he hasnt played that many minutes. If you'd signed Tyla Hepi for example, played 2 games from the bench so far, wouldnt be that big a loss, maybe end of next season that opinion would change? BTW you signed him the same day it was announced Dobson was leaving, when we played at your place a little while ago.

From what I've seen of Beaumont he looks as though he is capable of performing a role, and you can't have enough props. Seems to be capable of playing decent minutes and he's the sort of player who complements Masoe in the Front Row.

Add in what we've already got on top of the younger forwards we've got in the squad and we should have some decent go forward next season. With Walsh guiding us around the park with a knew Stand-Off, and with the pace we've got out wide I'm excited about next season. Really like what Brown and the club have got in place for 2014.

The thing I've noticed is his aggressivion, something we've been missing with the likes of Pansy Perry and Cautious Clough. Funnily enough, this has come out in Howarth over the last few weeks and is something our pack really needs when we come up against the house packs of Wigoon and Les Cats.

He's a bit of an unknown quantity for sure, but given the money we have been shelling out on top quality and getting little return, we could probably get 5-8 Beaumonts for what Perry has been getting. One of them is bound to come good.

that is the key. we have signed Masoe and Beaumont in the pack, and still probably have change from Perry's contract, to upgrade Walmsley or give Howarth a contract.

I sincerely hope not. Any spare cap money we have should be used to get us a proper standoff. If we still have change then maybe we can look at additional cover at 9 although for me we should be looking at the juniors or just using Wilkin/Flash in an emergency.

Rubbish. Masoe is coming as a current NRL first 17 player who had other offers to stay in the NRL and other offers from SL clubs. We've also outbid Hull KR for Beaumont, so the extra we've bid must make it worthwhile for him to either commute from Hull or relocate to St Helens.

So did Perry ... And was playing for Australia in 2010 when he came over. You perhaps might not both get Masoe and Beaumont in the same wage as Perry but it'll be very close

It's Hull, it's worth relocating with or without a contract.

He isn't the biggest of props but he runs it in like a mad man and looks pretty mobile. Let's give him a chance.
