Leon goes missing in most big games. McGuire has shown up in the last two Grand Finals.

McGuire has a better try scoring record (I haven't checked but i think he has).

McGuire, IMO, was one of the few to actually play with any pride in Australia. Leon was shocking.

McGuire has better support play.

McGuire is a very good player and as far as I know, is clean off the field.

I'm not saying i'd definately take it, but i'd certainly be tempted.

But when Leon is on form and/or is given a chance to perform (by Long, by the opposition, by the coach), there is no-one in the comp who is better in his position. He is amazing to watch and I wouldn't swap him for any of his opposite numbers.

Cunningham is (IMO) past his best, but like senior not being at your best when you are that good, doesnt make you poor, just not as good as you once were.

Like you say think we will have to agree to disagree on this on as IMO both players are still playing as well as they were in their prime even though they may be coming to the end of their careers.

I'm not saying Senior is past it (far from it) but how many of Ryan Hall's twelve tries this season were supplied by Keith Senior passes?

but over the course of this season i'm sure more will be from Senior than either he creates himself or is by others, if the trend of previous seasons is anything to go by.

so far this season 2 whole try assists, just less than on every 4 matches. He'll have to improve to get to the high heights of 7 out of 27 games in all of last season. A class centre

Senior has been directly involved in three of the twelve (25%), the same as Lauitiiti. The point here is that wingers are not solely reliant on their centre's supply of ball and as good as Senior has been (and continues to be) Hall deserves some credit as a try scorer. He also scored tries on the right last season without a settled centre to feed off and Leeds' right wing (Hall/Smith) outscored Donald on the left two to one over the final twelve matches of last season.



Not the most reliable of the Opta Stats on the SL website. Plenty of anomalies in assessing what constitutes as a 'try assist'. Lauitiiti, for example, has had to wait until last Sunday's effort to Hall to earn one this season while Buderus got one on his debut for running two yards and passing the ball to the obvious runner.

I'd have to agree with you there, alot is down to interpretation.

I'd query the two in the middle.
