What's that got to do with Jonny Lomax?

He could win it this year, as he was under 21 at season start, only coming of age in March.

However next year he willl be too old at the seasons start.

I'm led to believe that it's 21 or under at the start of the season, which would also qualify Tomkins next season. Unless they have to be under 21 at the start of the season.

If Lomax and Eastmond had played as many matches as Sam this year then they too would have been in with a shout. When I said If Lomax continues in the way he played on Friday night then he could well overtake Sam next year. This statement was made by me and was meant to show just how well young Lomax played on Friday night Rogues. If he continues to play like that then he will certainly be up there along side him. He was an absolute joy to watch. Also he didn't show any of the dirty niggley tricks Sam gets up to and that's fine by me.

But you had already answered that earlier on and still felt the need to come back and talk about Tomkins on a Lomax thread.

Not worried at all. Why should I be? Lomax is a fine young prospect from Gods little village of Billinge (Nr. Wigan

). and will make a superb player if he can stay injury free.
Read the thread again, it was my good friend Agent Mulder who brought Tomkins into it.
Then Chair Maker commented about the young player of the year part of my response, to which I replied.

Do we see Lomax playing 6 for the remainder of the season if Leon is out? Potter seems to have been impressed with him and mentions that although Lomax was nervous, he will come on for having spent game time at 6.

I'd be more than happy to see him playing at 6 on Saturday and if he impresses keep him in there unless Leon comes back. It'd be better than switching Wilkin there and Moore hasn't looked good enough to carry a team from half back.

It puts a bit of pressure on Eastmond, but Moore hasn't the pace for playing half back with any real effectiveness these days and Wilkins organisational skills have been shown to be wanting.

I actually think it would put less pressure on Kyle than playing Wilkin/Moore there would to be honest.

Most of his junior rugby at Orrell St. James was played at stand off, so he's no stranger to that position.

I meant in an organisational sense, there'd be no one to really share the kicking workload with, etc.

And yet ... Kyle played with Scott as the halfback pairing against Leeds at Knowsley Road as Leon was injured at the time and they worked very well together on that occasion. Not that I wouldn't mind seeing Lomax at halfback but Moore has had much more gametime than Lomax and if Moore and Eastmond play well together again it may be more beneficial to play experience at this stage in the season.

Agreed. A mate of mine coached him at Rainford High and still keeps in touch with him now. Says he was and will make an outstanding number 6.

He has, and I'd still rather see Moore alongside Eastmond than Wilkin, but Lomax at 6 worked on Friday and sometimes these things can kick on. He brings a bit more pace to the middle of the park, and we keep Wellens experience at full back.

I've been a bit surprised Moore hasn't been more involved in the kicking since Eastmond's injury, as he's got a decent kicking game, better than Wilkin's.

Personally I think he will make a very good modern day fullback.

Writing from Finestrat high in the Mountains in Valencia, I reckon we should get a petition going to stop his Bus Pass (Rogues I Mean) allowing him to tresspass through Sent elin to access the Mersey Ferry and all our other delights in MERSEYSIDE, when obviously his heart (if he has one) lies on the dark side of the Lump
