Saints will walk a place in the top 4 imo and but up a huge challenge for top spot. If both halfbacks stay fit then there is very little to choose between Wigan, Wire and Saints and any of the 3 could finish in first place.

I'm not reading too much at all into last night. It's a fitness run out at the end of the day and it'll be a totally different ball game in Cardiff. We've had a disrupted pre season with players getting injured and picking up knocks and that won't help our cause going into the start of the season. Theres no saying we won't get a touch up at a fit and healthy wire tomorrow.

I think that's a fair assessment. I would expect Saints to be a little bit better this year than last. They will be fitter, leaner and hungrier.

In my eyes Wigan are slight favourites for top spot. Wire and Saints are almost impossible to seperate and should also finish top 4.

Leeds I'm just not sure of, they were a champion side - one of the best in recent times - but I don't know if they have continued to replace quality with quality.

With a bit of belief I think Huddersfield could be the ones to break into the top 4. They really impressed me last season.

Given that Simmons was an international hooker I don't foresee too many problems for us in that area especially with our two front line options, Roby (surely one of the top five British players around) and Moore.

It will take time for roby to adapt to the changes IF any are made to his game he's been in top flight rugby for quite a few years now so will be hard

Moore i rated him more at hudd mabye with cunningham and roby the main 2 last season he will come on with more game time this season

Roby doesn't have to make that many changes to his game. He's a fantastic all round player and is in the top 3 or 4 hookers in world rugby. Scott Moore needs to step up though and now has no excuse as he'll get more of a run at 9 than alst year.

If i were a Saints fan i would be worried you were beat on monday quite easy by a team who played prety poor on the night plus Saints had more of the ball due to the heavy penalty count against the Giants and you still could not open them up, and not only that the Giants attacking play was quite poor if there combinations had been beter they would have scored more points.

Well I can speak for myself and yes I am worried about MM, not so much about the season as I think we will still be up there due to the winning mentality within the squad. But I am apprehensive of an embarrasment at MM, only time will tell I guess.

Indeed. We've got the most balanced squad we've had since 2006, and we can't possibly have as bad a year of injuries as last time round. Barring some kind of negative dressing room reaction to the new coach I can't see any reason why we won't finish in the top 4 and give Wigan a hell of a game at MM. In fact, we should realistically be aiming to finish top and win silverware.

If you follow the boys on Twitter it seems that Fozzard was a real negative person to have in the team and especially Wilkin is liking the fact he's not around.
Can't wait to see them two against each other this year.
