So? There were worse tackles than that this season that went unpunished. He only played four less than Sinfield and geve away 5 less penalties. He is not the penalty machine that people think he is.

Sykes I agree on. Considering all the big names he left out for "fresh faces" when Sykes looked a complete disaster last year at the WC and by all accounts hasn't had a great season either.

I watched 3 wire games earlier in the season were Bridge played centre and was very impressed, he looked like a very natural and accomplished centre in a manner that you don't see as much these days. There wouldn't be so much fuss if Atkins was fit and we'd taken him, and (from what I've seen) Bridge would be a much better bet.
He can also kick goals, which (if you left Sinfield out, which I would) is something we are lacking.

Nowt wrong with Westwood. He gets through a ton of work, hits hard and gives you size and mobility. Bridge looks perfectly competent to me ... in an ideal world you'd like to be able to pick more athletic and explosive three-quarters, but we just don't have any.

Paul Sykes, however, must be embarrassed to have made it in there himself. I've got no problem with Pryce's omission on the basis of his poor form, but this selection says to me that there's more in it than that, because surely nobody in their right mind would suggest that Sykes offers more as a utility back than Pryce does.

Bridge is worth a shout, its a shyt team were looking to field, any team with "SYkes" in it is just askign for a whooping... Bridge has looked good everytime I seen him in 2009. Defo give him a go I say.
