His mistakes did on Sunday at least seem to occur mostly in the latter stages, I doubt at Saints he would play the 80 so it may not be as much of an issue.

| Watched him all season and early on was our best player by far. However, when we have a shocker, his passing is notably poor leading to lots of handling errors from team mates. Still lots to learn, but has definatley improved from when he was at cas, so in another couple of years could be great.

Quote ="The Chair Maker"Moore was good not excellent.
Remember he played the full 80 minutes, and looked pretty knackered towards the end.
The few errors he did make were with short passing, late in the game when tiredness i felt played a part.
He has two skills that KC cannot currently do.
1. He can kick accurately over distance
2. He can throw out long fast passes in either direction. This allows greater attacking options out of dummy half.
Rogues Gallerys comments about Mclorum being better are hilarious. The guy is Wigans third choice hooker.
At every stage of his career MM has been behind Moore.
Here is a statistical comparison between Moore and Mcilorum.
www.superleague.co.uk/statistics ... eason=2009'"
It is hilarious,
Check Moores stats for the last three years, particularly his error, penalty and missed tackle count.
He is not improving on those areas.
I will agree he has a better long passing game than Cunningham, but Saints will need some pace on the outside if they are going to utilise it.

Moore is making twice as many tackles as Mclorum and has the same sucess rate 91%. (The King is currently at 90%)
Granted Moore makes more errors, however that could be due to the fact he is more adventurous in his play. Mclorum being merely dour, taking the safe, easy option all the time. Moores error count isnt much different than "The Kings".
That is in part born out by Mclorums meters gained stats of just 364 compared to the 900+ of Moore. Clearly MM merely sits at dummy half and passes left or right.
Penalties are an issue, and i think in part thats due to fact he plays 70-80 minutes in a match. Moore is however not much worse that The King int erms of conceeding penalties. Which is impressive considering The King spends less time on the field.

McIlroum has played 4 less games and when he has played it's been for a maximum of 40 minutes per game.
No wonder his stats are far worse then Moores.
Not saying i think he's better then Moore but you can't compare the 2 on those stats alone.

All this at 21 and people are on his back!
We are never going to find another KC, he has been the worlds best hooker for the best part of a decade, the oz press have stated many times that he was the only player they really feared.
Scott Moore will be a great hooker for the next decade and we would be mad to pass on him IMO

I'm with Muggers. Whatever it is that others see in this guy, I'm not seeing. I see a Jon Clarke clone. Competent, hairy, not very exciting.

| Reading these threads sometimes brings back memories of playground scraps!
I think it's great that Scott Moore has been chosen for the game in France. I hope he grabs the opportunity with both hands and plays out of his skin. Good luck to the lad. Aside from the odd blip, which every player has, he's been beltin this season and hopefully he'll just go from strength to strength.

Woah! Nobody is that bad.
Moore's passing ability puts him ahead of most hookers in this country. He has flaws in his game, but he's progressing very nicely.

| I think we need a hooker that can start games for us and just get things ticking over with good distribution before you throw Roby on.
Moore is the best of the bunch available at the moment and it's good to see him get his chance.
I've never been a fan of Diskin or Clarke and neither are good enough for international rugby.

| Too many people look into our 2 hooker model that evolved under the last coach with cunningham and roby being used to good effect and widely copied in SL.
I actually think we will see something different evolving with longy leaving and KC leaves and roby is our number one hooker.
We might not keep moore if kc does one more year
