it was a rugby union journlalist for the express who confirmed from "a very good source" that Eastmond had signed for Bath and it would be announced in the morning. However with Sale announcing a signing also in the morning it surely keeps us all guessing for now. Enough has been said about him needing to sort out his future so he can concentrate on the field, but i cant see how he will give us 100% as i feel he will surely have his mind on union next year. Let just hope Jammer puts pen to paper with us to give the players and us fansa big lift going into the new season

If we get a fee for Kyle, we could use that to compensate the Aussie club involved. Contracts are worth toffee if the player wants to go.

He needs to be allowed a decent run there though; all too often we play one game then decide to chop and change. It doesn't do the player or the team any favours.

The obst to hull situation adds a bit of weight to the rumours of long coming back.

Not sure myself; they lost Berrigan late on and have problems with Horne, so I just think they've seen an opportunity to add to their squad.

The fawning positivity displayed so often on here is admirable however it must be noted that neither Lomax or Wheeler are good enough for a starting spot at Saints.

You call it fawning positivity because I thought we'd compete against Wigan where as you had us down for a 40 point hiding. One of us isn't realistic, but it certainly isn't me.

Lomax has not shown any kicking or great passing ability when in the first team for me. He's shown good ability with ball in hand but we need more than that as Pryce is merely a competent rather than a good one. If we had more of an organiser playing alongside him I'd have less of a concern.

I think Wheeler is. Damn shame about his body being rubbish though. As for Lomax, I'm not yet totally sure about him. He worked hard in defence on Saturday and he did help us to get a try. But he was playing in centre on that occasion. Perhaps it's because he has played all over the place that I'm not sure about him!
