Well, given the best way the Salford fans have described his performances so far is "dead wood" - he is definitely either a year too far, or couldn't care less. We had too many of the former last year, and have enough of the latter this year. More than happy to steer clear and stick with the kids...

He's a bit of an enigma for us. He strolls around, looks uninterested then scores a hat-trick. As a stop-gap he's been worth it. He was never going to be a long term solution, plus it looks like Harris wants to cull some of the ageing parts of the team.

Meli has a laid-back demeanour, but there is nothing about his game that suggests laziness to me. His weakness is that he is a clumsy oaf, but he has a lot going for him too.

Hey, it was only my opinion about the culling. Mozza has been fantastic this season with far more minutes than he got at Wire. However, he has an eye on coaching which was his original plan when signing for us. Gleeson is well past it in my opinion, and may have to give way, but we've had a few seasons out of him. TP has been solid off the bench. So it's a bit unfair to say it's Koukash's crazy world.

Our problem has been in the three-quarters and wing. All of which are too slow, barring Johnson who's broke his jaw. I can see Meli losing out to a younger model at the end of the year, Moz retiring, and TP very much up in the air.

I don't think I've ever seen a player from that part of the world who isn't laid back.

I've been disappointed by him this season. Last season he formed a great partnership with Makinson and improved no end as the season progressed. But right from the first match this year when he made three significant errors he has been poor, barring that lovely pass around the front for T Mak's try at Wire.

I'd happily take some Dr Cockrash money for turner. Even if it means leaving Percy and Jones there until we find something.

When money is on the table for a player of Turners ability, you've got to take it!

I am too harsh on Turner. But it's because he could be great. He has it all. Athleticism we've not seen since Lyon, skill with the ball at times that we've not seen since Gidley. He has also had games where he's been superb defensively and done a real job, picking his moments to shoot up and crush attacking moves.

BUT he just doesn't do it enough or consistently. For a man as quick, agile and powerful as him to carry such little threat is simply ridiculous. He needs to kick on this season for us or a Gleeson-esque tail off to insignificance awaits. The ball is firmly in his court, but all he's done so far is disappoint.

I've seen him do some smashing things in the centre for us, but as we say, inconsistency is a real problem.

He's not the only one this applies to and I wonder whether he' like perhaps some other Saints players, is guilty of reading too much into the hype from the beginning of the season.

You don't get anything without bending your backs and putting the graft in. Giving a nice interview does not get points on the field.
