Catalan get mullered every time they play at headingley, that's why the dragons looks like the obvious choice. this doesnt mean Leeds will win and no result is a given! I can't see Wigan getting anywhere near hull kr, Wigan are bobins, but as I said no result is a given(see gf 08 )

See this is where I am in doubt. Depending on a K.R victory which is what your seeming to say then it goes that Leeds will choose Catalans. That would be an all out forward battle and judging by the way Cat's played tonight it would result in Biff, Injuries, uncertainty and a result that would be doubtful. Leaving the winner bereft of players in a grand final scenario. You could say in all fairness that the Dragons would be overly fatigued and the result would be a walk over but I would point out your previous comments about the week off syndrome. Every game in the next round should be an all out forward battle!! This is how big games are won and what Leeds are pretty good at (see last 2 grand finals), one thing I'm 100% sure of is Leeds thought with regards to the pick will have have nothing to do with who they might get most injured against!

See I thought the same way as well But I kind of get the feeling that, although as a coach you can sort of predict where things are going, and you can play potential scenario's about what if this team or that team wins their decider and what state of squad makes it though you can't really predict what kind of state of mind that given team will be in. Its the unknown factor that makes any given player be truly awesome on one day and truly awfull on the next. It's that pep talk sometimes that can make the difference between the bottle and the bravado and it's the success run that makes it, look at Wigan in the last play off runs, it was always the final hurdle but the difference this time is the top dog gets to call the contender and this could be the classic whoopsie and the "cold blooded" slap in Blueys face that would make the hard core fan s and shout lol lol lol lol

Catalans have played excellently for the last three weeks. Leeds will be too fresh for them next week.

...weren't losing? That's playing well if you can get away with that and still not be out of a game. Nobody has anything to fear from Leeds or Saints for that matter, except Wigoon, who we will thrash.

Their kicking game wasn't up to much but everything else is par for the course with the Dragons and has been since their inception. I think they've come bottom of the bathroom league each season since it was created. They have poor discipline with the ball and sometimes in the tackle. But with Catalans you get the big forwards and some great attacking moves and, last night, some great defence. They just make a win harder for themselves. That doesn't mean they aren't playing well though; just that they are playing Catalonian style!

If catalans do go to Leeds you would hope they remove the penalty machine element from their game, god they were frustrating and Ganson had no choice but to honk his horn. Moggs kicking game took an age to get started, gifting easy field position to the 3rd placed man in the man of steele awards 2009. Their fitness levels seem amazing though, and the tackles they were putting in was like watching the NRL semi finals, especialy that Greg Bird hit on the balding Danny Scully, what a hit that was, and just one of many whamos. Les Cats sure look formidable and if the ball gets some air Marti Pelo and Clint G sure have the pace to go over and score. I still think Leeds will pick them, and will win handsomely, I hope I am 100% wrong, but maybe the cats machine runs out of steam next Friday, if so, lets hope they lose their rag and get stuck in to some yarkshire meat.

100% agree , but you should worry what kind of damage Wigan will do to saints next week should they come through tonight .

Leeds should do the honourable thing and select the lowest placed semi-finalist, irrespective of who it is. That is in keeping with the traditional format of the play offs. In which case it would be Les Catalans.

I really think that Leeds and Catalan is a done deal now. K.R were flat tonight and the best team won, just next week to go now and it's another Saints Leeds final. Typical Gleeson, has to be the same as Long, both should be sporting eye patches
