I really don't think you can replace Long and KC at the same time, but I was told earlier in the year that KC was finishing playing at the end of 2009.

He isn't the finished article yet, there's no doubt. Losing Long and KC in one go is going to be very tough on us, that said i don't see us dropping below 4th if we can get another big prop or two in.

Scott Moore is still a better player than Riddell, your young irish hooker and is making more impact at hooker for Huddersfiel than Tomkins is making at Stand off for you guys.

I thought Smith's best chance was to return as a hooker if KC left, that was after Moore had an apparently unimpressive stint at cas. Since moving to hudds, Moore's turned the tables somewhat.

I had this thought as well, his play is similar to LuLu at wigan. He isn't having much fun with injuries either which is a shame. I'd hope Saints would see how Kyle gets on before dropping Matty completely. Kyle needs game time and lots of it.

It's interesting to see that clubs are only giving young players contracts that run up to them reaching the age of 21 (e.g. Ashurst and Dixon).
If they ere not in the first team squad proper by then they will have to be moved on du eto the 3 overage player rule in the U20's.

However knowing the RFL that can change again in a couple of years time.
