He had a solid debut. But hes still far behind Meli in the pecking order.

Of course he's going to behind Meli, he's played one game in SL.

I felt more confortable with him on the wing than Meli.

I've not decided on him yet. He had a good first game though, and recovered from his knock on earlier in the game, which must have shook him up, well. I hope it continues!

He was solid defensively, coped well with the kicks and tackled well. Not sure how fast he is though, but we need some pace in our back-line. Didn't make many metres on exit sets, but I felt he was more secure than Meli. At least Meli will have some competition for his place now.

eh?? A couple of people stated or insinuated they would have him over Meli, so I gave my opinion.

On the eividence on show last night, looks fairly solid and dependable in an Ian Hardman, Dean McGilvray sort of way. Jury still out but a good start.

Give over, he's ahead of those runts already. He has the right physique for a rugby league back, while the likes of Hardman were more suitable as extras in Slumdog Millionaire.

He looked solid, tackled well, has a nice step, and looks roughly as quick as Gardner. I cannot see any reason to not keep him involved and give him a chance in the first team, possibly even at centre against the easy-beats.

I'd say he's, at this moment in time, well ahead of Meli in the pecking order given the fact that he's a British citizen.

In terms of cost-benefit, he's streets ahead of Meli

No, he was up against Chris Hicks.

He saved a 40/20 with an excellent take while tracking back, he aslo fileded a very awkward grubber which I though he was bound to fluff. Took his try very well. Looks solid defensively.

He didn't get involved enough for it to be a [igreat[/i debut, that was probably more down to Gilmour than him.

He was solid enough, but he didn't do anything that Hardman or McGilvary didn't during their time with us.

Not sure about that - for me Hardman always looked crap on the wing McGilvary looked solid if unspectacular though.

Hardman was never that crap, he'd never have got so many games if he had been.

I always liked Hardman, but just as Briscoe had Radlinski stopping his progress at Wigan so Harman had Wellens in front of him at Saints.
