Could be, but then again it could just be that I misread and thought you had quoted me. Pick either option, I don't mind which, but you must be some psychologist to figure all that out from one post.

| Nobody knows how good anyone will be 100% until they have played a full season at super league. Then the is also 2nd season syndrome.
We had a kid called Sean Devine who had one good game against Cas and he was tipped to be the next Alex Murphy

That is true undoubtedly, but I just can't see anything other than Hampshire being a superstar. He's not just got one attribute that sets him out, he's got a quality all round game which is why I'm confident he'll be a very good player.

As a former mod, the warning is about the language, not about the point of view.
I have never understood people who feel the need to be combative about mods giving out warnings. It's simply a warning, ie showing where the line is. If people got straight bans they would then complain about not being warned first.
As for not quoting, just because you address someone else, it does not mean we can't all chip in.

Indeed.
Who have you got who would be of interest to RFU or NRL?
LMS?

Where does one start ?
Lomax, Swift, Walmsley and Roby have already been the subject of NRL interest.
Percival is the best young centre in the country and will soon enough receive interest.
Makinson one of the best wingers in the country.
Walsh voted 7th in the Dally M and tried to get out of the Saints deal because of NRL interest.
Burns an NRL 6.
Amor in the top couple of props in the country.
Luke Thompson is a star in the making who will be the subject of enormous interest. He may have already received offers, to be honest.
Masoe an NRL prop already.
Hohaia a World Cup winning RL player and regular NRL player.
Bit of a stupid question really but what exactly can one expect from these daft Wiganers ?

I'd say yes.
Peacock is so far past his best it's unreal.
Hill is a good solid prop as is Amor but I think Amor has the edge. Only for injuries last season he would have played for England, possibly instead of Hill.
All opinions I suppose but there you go.

| Peacock would still be #1 in the country if he only played 10-15 games a season. As we saw at the end of last year, it catches him up towards the business end.
Hill for me is the best in the country over the course of a season at the moment followed by Amor, Flower and Huby.

Take away Peacock's name and reputation, nag, I reckon Amor's a better player.

I know where you're coming from, we've all seen Peacock have those weeks when he just keeps going and going.
He certainly has an aura of relentlessness about him that helps drive his team.
Amor's very important to us, something we realised when he missed large parts of last season, but he doesn't carry us like sometime it seems Peacock does for the Leeds go forward. Perhaps we do a better job of sharing the work, or perhaps its forced upon him by a less than dynamic pari of replacement props at Leeds. I'm not sure.
I don't know how many appearences of minutes on the field each player had, but generally with props, tackles made is a decent indicator. I'd suggest PEacock played a lot more minutes than Amor.
I'm not doing Peacock down in any way, as he is a legend, but we've seen matches (normally when Leeds lose) when people go for Peacock to tire him in defence and he starts to look raggedy. I remember Paul Gallen strolling through a gap he should have filled in for a game breaking try in one of his final internationals.
Amor has no such weakness in his game, imo. If you're picking an England team, for me, Amor's a better choice these days.

To be fair, Amor didn't do enough minutes last year because of injury. If he can get a season without much injury, then he'll be a big player in how 2015 turns out.

| I don't think Amor is as good as Hill or Peacock yet, but given that he was a late bloomer I could imagine him being a genuinely top-line prop by the time he's 30.

I love Peacock but at his age there's no way I'd take him over Amor. Peacock is still for me, the best prop in the country, it's just his age that you have to take into account.
Hill is the next best in my view and Amor after that. A fit Amor is very high level. He was awesome for Saints prior to his injury last season. Your board didn't think he was good enough to even make your 17
Walmsley is top five as well. That starting front row of Amor, Roby and Walmsley is top class.

I think when assessing players from opposing teams it's easy to diminish them because you see them much less than your own. I honestly haven't seen enough of Amor at Saints to give an opinion. I know this though - He was excellent at Wakefield in his final season against us, a real handful, and I'm not surprised you rate him highly.
I would say that prop is England's strongest position. Graham is the best in the world, Burgess not far behind, and Hill has a side step and work rate possessed by very few props. Walmsley has impressed every time I see him.
For Wigan I would love Mossop to get fit and back to his best. He has won a lot in his short time at Wigan including international honours. He came almost out of nowhere in 2011 and he hasn't got a lot of miles on the clock, so has lots of potential.
I think Taylor will be a big loss. He could be as good as most of those mentioned.
I have high hopes for Ryan Sutton. I hope he gets plenty of early season game time as he doesn't seem overawed by anything.

No he's 100% not as good as those two but up until his injury he was getting up to there level but IMO he was pretty average after he lay off but I don't think he was 100% fit.
Who is better than those two ?

Peacock just had a top class season. He IMO is still the best British prop playing in super league.

The sad thing is this isn't even selling, I wonder how the ego can cope with "the biggest name in rugby league" not being able to hold onto their own youngsters

| Wigans plan of signing their youngsters on long contracts purely so they can get more cash for them has backfired as the kids have learnt to refuse the deal and they'll get more cash. Who can they sell to pay this year's rent?
