| It might be Warrington. They're all whispering about a winger being signed. They were assuming he'd be an NRL superstar like Gasnier coming out of retirement or Uate. But maybe it's the Wire?
I think it would be a horrendous piece of management for him to be allowed to leave however.

| Why are other fans bothered to come on here to tell us that such and such a player is no good?
I have no problems with Wigan or anyone else prefering what they have to Foster, but that does not really mean much other than club loyalty.
As far as foster goes, he gets the tries. If he got 1 try a year but was as fast as Dwaine Chambers, I would not opt for him over the current Foster who gets many tries regardless of supposed pace.
For thoes who have never seen him beat a man or run more than 30 yards, go watch the catalan game, if you want to see long range tries from Jamie.

It's only Wigan and Warrington. Their fans are so fundamentally scared that their own team's chances of success could be ruined by us that they have to do our players down.

Why the hell would the current SL champions, Challenge cup finalists with such a young talented squad be scared of you in the slightest?? Remind me the last time you beat us again........

Well if you really arent bothered about us why waste your time coming on here to tell us how poor we are??
As for the last time we beat you, we have managed a draw against you and lost by 4 and 6 points this season to you so 3 out of the 4 games this season I would hardly say you ran away with them or we are miles behind you?? We may not have beaten you in the last 5 games but it was about time you did put together a decent run against us - after all wasnt it about 5 years before last season since you had managed it??

I think you will find if you read through most of my posts on here, I never say you are a "poor side", I think with a full strength side your capable of beating anyone. But wouldn't say im "scared", I think we have a young talented squad and the best coach in SL. If Wane gets the job and carries on what he has learned under Madge I can see success at Wigan for the next 10 years.

I would agree with the young quality side point and I think its a nice change to see a Wigan side using their young talent wisely rather than selling it all in favour of over the hill 2nd rate players which seemed to happen there not too long ago.
Whilst I dont like the style of rugby Maguire coaches personally, there is no doubt he is a good coach and has been very effective. I think whoever takes over though will struggle to maintain success for 10 years...mainly due to the fact SL really is getting closer and you will still have to deal with losing Richards, Carmont, Coley, Finch, Deacon, O'Loughlin, Lima, Hock and obviously Hoffman in that time which will be a tough transition - not saying it cant be done as, even though we have lacked silverware we have remained a top 3 side and lost a lot of our major players which is a great effort imo
For me personally, I think our young talents are equally as good as Wigan's and can see us being right up there with them again (hopefully starting next season now they have got a fair bit of 1st team experience under their belts) but at least over the next 2-3 years and think we will be in the same boat and we will both have the foundations in place for a solid team for a number of years to come

Honestly I don't think you will be as Maguire is the best coach in the league by a mile.

I hope you will be up there with us again for the sake of our derby! Our youth set up and under 18s, under 20s are superb, I have complete faith in our club that when the said players leave/retire, we will have replacements from the youth system ready, they will have been eased into the first team by then like the likes of Farrell, Tuson, Charnley and Mossop over the last few seasons.

| Wigan will collapse like a house of cards next season. Wane is dumb and they will start falling behind.
Sam's move to Union will also cause them a lot of trouble next season. The ball is already rolling on that one, the Pies will deny it, but it's coming.

Im undecided on Wane (if he gets the job) I have big fears over having a british coach, BUT if he carries on what he has learned from Maguire and everything stays the same I cant see a problem.

If Sam goes anywere, it will be the NRL in about 3/4 years. He has no interest in playing union.

Everything won't be the same though will it? If Wane is the new head coach, then not surprisingly he would want to put his own stamp on the way you play.

Speculation? I was taking the mick. Wire fans come on here periodically and claim one of our better players is about to sign for them. James Graham, then Tony Puletua.
Taking the mick, Rogues.

I'm not to sure about Sam Tomkins going union or the nrl as he looks to me he'll play all his rugby at Wigan.
The Wigan fans keep saying we are losing our best player next year in James Graham, that might be true but they are losing the best thing that's happened to Wigan in 15 years and that maguire. How they cope without him will be very interesting to see. Don't forget this is more or less the same team that struggled to make the play offs under noble which shows what acmassive impact maguire has had on Wigan!
I have serious doubts if wane is the man for the job

I'm not going to go into details but let's say I've been in the company of wane a number of times over the years and IMO he's not the greatest with thinking about the game. He's all the passion in the world for Wigan and no doubt will motivate players but I think he'll fall short and maguire is a hard act to follow.
He's a great guy.
He'll come out with all his comments that all lies fall for like " we will do it the Wigan way" but give it 5 games into 2012 and you lot will be calling for his head " the Wigan way"

As a RL fan, I hope he does stick to the 13 man code. I am no way a fan of his but no denying the guy is quality and players like him need to be kept in the better code rather than defecting to Yawnion! As for if Sam turns down the NRL to stay with Wigan, I wonder if eh will have "bottled it" or "knows he isnt good enough down under" like Roby was accused of last year??
