One thing Potter needs to address as a matter of urgency is our total inability to field kicks on the tryline. We are incompetent beyond words in this regard and everyone has tagged it and will be using it to beat us. It will be a poor showing if he doesn't improve this.

I would go back and check the stats before making an assumption like that. Besides you would also have to consider that some teams are harder to break down defensively and so kicks may be the only way to break such defences. I seem to remember Rovers' best form of attack was with kicks because they were going nowhere on our line.

Our 'd' is superb, but they need to work on kick defense. It's a different thing to stopping a man running at you.

Having a fullback that could cover the line in reasonable line with the ball would be a good idea for starters.

We've either had an increasingly slow full back or an inexperienced player in the position for most of the season. Once you add in the lack of experience we've had on the wings for a large part of the season, it's no surprise that our kick defence is not completely solid.
