Perry is up there with crap overseas players we've brought in. I'd love to see his £ per hour for playing. He's been a total waste of money but at the time was a very good signing. It's just not worked out for player or club.
I think Lance is a good player but from day one I said he's no halfback and that proved correct. He's tried and tried to convert to a stand off but its not worked. I blame Royce and the club for signing a fullback to play stand off. It's ruined is and ruined him. I hope he goes to Salford and has the time of his life because he's a good bloke and his saints disaster as hit him hard.
Perry is possibily one of the worst signings of the Super League era at Saints - certainly of the last decade. He must be one of our top earners, and a mixture of lack of game time due to injury, and terrible, lazy performances when on the field has made his time here a disaster.
Lance, on the other hand, is clearly a talented player. He is a World Cup winning full back who was signed as a half back. Full back is probably his strongest position, but since he's been here he has had Wello and Lomax, and at times Tommy Mak ahead of him. If we were short at #1, he'd have been a success. Unfortunately he's not a #6 or a #9 - and now can't even get any game time.
In hindsight, both signings have failed. Expensively.
