good effort from all the lads last night and well played leeds. am i the only saints fan who thinks we would have won the game last night if ady gardner wasn't playing. 2high kicks to gardners wing and 2tries for leeds. its the same every week. i wouldn't mind if ady knocked the ball into touch or gave a penalty away, but to just get beaten to the ball time and time again isn't good enough. we only held on against wigan coz jamie foster made a good take late on. lomax and foster would be in every week for me im sick of watch adys poor efforts under the high ball week in week out.

Conceding so many tries from kicks in games like these will be the death of us once again, it happens far too often - all three first half tries were extremely poor ones to concede, so disappointing to be let down like that again. We should have won the game even under the tough circumstances, there were some terrific performances from the young forwards once again.

I'm still undecided about the McGuire incident. It's starting to rotate when it bounces, but it does seem to quicken when it goes past his arm. But has it necessarily gone forward? Can't tell.

I do want to come in on this 'missing loads of players' thing. Your boys did really well having lost both halfbacks during the game, but as for 'already missing 7'-we were already missing Webb, Burrow, Leulaui, Diskin, Burgess & Lauititi, of whom 3 (Webb, Burrow & Lauititi) are part of that 'core group' that makes stuff happen.

I'm really looking forward to the game at the Galpharm-obviously if Eastmond's missing that's a great shame, as he's a quality player, but hopefully it'll be a fantastic exhibition of rugby league.

Boots'n'All showed it beautifully and Jon Wells was convinced he knocked on.

More or less everybody was convinced he had knocked on - everybody except the ref and video ref and of course the Leeds speccies.

To be honest Leeds did get penalised for 2 forward passes during the game, in which nearly made most of us Saints fans have to check twice, to make sure the ref wasn't mistaken. Asking for that try to be chalked off would have been taking the p*ss
