| Painful as defeat is, especially to Leeds whom we like to stick it up, I am not in my usual grim state of punching the neighbours cat after losing.
We ended the game with no half backs, and thus, no bite. We held out as much as we could in the situation against a very dangerous side. Leon had control while on the field without Arnold, and succumbed to an unfortunate injury.
Paul Clough really is outstanding, and Jonny Lomax matured as a player today.
There are lots of positives to take away from defeat today.

| Spot on. To hold Leeds to four points with the personnel we ended up with is admirable. Of course a win would have been better (and with a different video ref it may have been) but all credit to the team.

| I'd agree with you, Ski.
I just felt sorry for them all at the end. There were some cockups - Wello dropping the ball with the tryline begging was probably the outstanding one of the match! - but given all the disruption, the fact that both our halfbacks went out, not to mention our weak bench weakened by one; that Leeds still had a bevvy of internationals in that so-called weak team of theirs, I'm proud that they stood their ground as well as they did. To be beaten only by four shows real heart and effort, and that in itself is a positive.
Although Lomax gifted Leeds a try by letting the ball bounce twice, in all other aspects of the game he is improving. The try he scored was a very good one. He has a good step.
I also think that if we can keep the score against us so low when we really are down to bare bones, we have a real chance even if we get just a few of our players back before the CC semi/playoffs.

Just been reading on Sporting Life that Potter has vowed to speak to Cummings about the clarification of the Video ref's decision on the last Leeds try. I don't think he was happy with it either.

It was a good try. I thought he'd bombed that one, turned out he'd took exactly the right option, and the Leeds player that tried to hold him back ended up just releasing him like a coiled spring over the line!
Obviously a lot of work to do in other areas of his game, but it's funny to see how many goal kickers you've got to choose from. It's not that long ago you were having to "settle" for Wellens, now you've got Eastmond, Foster, and now Lomax is doing a decent enough job (alright one of them was a terrible kick, but that seemed an exception).

Saw the same on Sky Sports website.
Not just the knock-on, he lays claim to an obstruction.
Could be interesting.

It could be interesting but it will be pointless. Nothing will change. Whether the final try was legitimate or not, Leeds still won, so personally I don't know why he's wasting his breath.

I am sure I overheard Dickie Silverwood mention an obstruction in his instructions.
But, this is all an irrelevance now. We lost the game, and had our chances to win it.

Couldn't tell you. Two noisy kids does not make listening closely easy.
At least I miss most of the Eddie, Stevo and Phil "State the obvious" Clarke show. Although Carney does a decent job.
He told me to get a haircut once, when he was the guest of honour at our end of season awards night.
Funny guy.

Not if you're wearing a Leeds shirt at Headingley it isn't. Only the opposition get 10 minutes for that there

I'd agree , dissapointed to lose ofc but it was a very solid team performace and if we'd have kept at least one of the HB's on I;d have fancied us to get something out of the game
