| Well did going to Henley work, for me no car parking was £5 but the out side the ground it said P+D only £3 to park in the ground, also Henley is 25miles out of Oxfrod, and all i got from some Henley RU fans is how this sports is (muppets) So if well have to go from Iffley Road once more then PLEASE take the match to the home of Oxford City FC. Rugby League have been play at that ground before, and its in are home town of OXFORD

| To be honest it wasn't exactly a great advert for the sport. The York paper has been pretty scathing about Oxford / expansion teams off the back of it. Not a great way of impressing RU fans.
Personally I'd prefer games to stay in Oxford. Henley is actually closer for me but when you are trying to build crowds in Oxford that's irrelevant.
It did work in one way. The sp crowd was boosted by a fair few groundhoppers, albeit some bunked in for free. Take them off the gate and.........
Sadly I'd suggest the real question is, is expansion working financially? With Broncos going down the academy system may be at risk. Thrown in some poor crowds at the southern teams, from Broncos down, and the alarm bells are ringing. Realistically I reckon Broncos, Skolars, Hemel, Oxford and Gloucestershire have a little over 1000 regular home fans between them, allowing for those of us who watch more than one southern teams, away fans etc. Worrying times.

| I suspect much had to do with the time of year, most football and RU clubs dig up their pitch so I don't know how much option their was at short notice. Most football groundsmen tend to think of Rugby as damaging to their pitch due to RU scrums etc so would be quick to veto especially at a time of year when laying fresh seed/ bedding in etc.

| You have to say it didn't work, because the crowd was a lot lower than usual despite a good turnout of York fans. I spoke to some locals who seemed to enjoy the novelty, but they didn't seem really enthused.
The pitch looked horribly uneven in places, but seemed to play OK. For spectating it was decent enough.
But on a personal level, it's the shortest journey I have ever made to watch a rugby league game so that was good!
