He's 21, and really should be knocking down the door to be picked every week. If not then its best for all parties for him to move on. I personally don't think he's been given the best chance to show what he's got, but its clear Smith saw enough from his one appearance to know he's just not there yet. We've shown in the past few years that hanging on to players too long creates problems all round. Good luck to him anyway.

Shame he hasn't been able to break through. Think there is a lot of talent there, but if he can't get past Sutcliffe he needs to move on for the sake of his own development.

Simpson too, tho he is obviously very young. Sometimes you have to be ruthless. And honestly in the limited appearances he’s had this year, I don’t think broadbent did enough to change that opinion if that’s what the coaching staff think/thought, especially defensively. |

You'd hope so. Sutcliffe's strengths are that he is solid enough in defence and 'has a bit of size about him' (I think Agar said that?). He doesn't really break tackles and isn't a great winger's centre. Perhaps the biggest plus of him playing centre is that he isn't then playing as a halfback. He's not the biggest priority to be replaced but the mere fact he's still at Leeds after years of generally not achieving much in any position speaks volumes for why we are where we are.

I was told back in June 2022 that this signing was supposedly nailed on for this current season.
Apparently cost cutting measures taken by the club stopped this signing coming to fruition.
I'm not sure what improvements Gale will actually bring to Wakefield other than his tactical game management skills?
This signing is clearly a very desperate one by Wakey IMO as he's not really been playing that well for Keighley in the Championship this year.
I would love to know what the total salary cap spend is at Wakey this season as it must be well under the cap limit. |

Not a chance - Gale isn't Nathan Cleary - he has hardly taken the Championship by storm. His last go at SL when he was actually on the pitch was disgraceful |

Big call that Kris,Who do you envisage that will finish below them?
Cas have issues within their club with having so many players that are off contract at the end of the season and this could prove to be disruptive to the club if those players that are leaving, take their bat and ball home.
Wakey simply can't score enough points at present to be able to win a game.
They also don't possess any strike players either, One's that can finish off plays when they're given 50/50 opportunities to get over the line. |
