I find it quite intriguing that one of the fixtures you guys need to catch up on is playing Catalan in Perpignan.

It could quite easily end up with a situation where both clubs need that fixture to be played for you to win in order for either club to make the top 4. Yet now you have made the final it looks unlikely there will be time to play the fixture.

Is the plan still to play 22 games, or is it just going to be 15?

That’s why they brought the % thing in because it dawned on the authorities that not all teams might be able to get their full 22 games in. I think the bear minimum to qualify for the play offs even on % formula is 15 (?) so on that basis our game v Catalan might not get rearranged?

Play as many games as possible. I think it’s likely that this will not be played, simply because it’s near two games a week now.

I think it goes like this....

The RFL announcement from when we moved to the points per game table structure says that rearranged games will only be played on 1 of 4 possible Additional Match Slots and failing those being available the fixture will not be rearranged.

As we are in the CC final the only applicable Additional Match Slot is November 1/2 and this has already been taken by our rearranged game with Wakefield.

QED the Catalans game will not take place.

I looked at the Leeds and Catalan fixtures a few weeks ago for the possibility of a cheeky trip over there with fans allowed in and its not listed for either club. And with Wembley now, as has been said above, this game wont happen. Shame like.

I think it's unlikely we'll make the top 4 now. Haven't Catalans gone above us with their win over Wakey yesterday? And considering our game v Warrington is 3 days before the Challenge Cup Final I expect we'll field a similar team to the Catalans game last week which will mean another defeat.

They’ve gone level with us on the percentage points.

How do they determine who is higher in the table in that case? Points difference?

I think I read that it would be the team with the highest ratio of points for divided by points against (as I think this is fairer if 2 teams haven't played the same amount of games). Either way, Catalans are ahead of us at the moment.

I understand the need to get fixtures played, but Salford and Leeds playing midweek before Wembley is really bad for both clubs, surely these particular fixtures could have been rearranged.

Castleford called off, moved Hull FC to tomorrow and playing castleford on 25/10

Well, nice for the Hull players to have some preparation time. I guess the 48 hour, 21 man squad requirement in the operational rulebook is ignored for this week then!

Catalan v Leeds may get played the final week of the season, with Huddersfield v Catalan possibly moving to next weekend.

When is the GF due to be played anyway?

Yep same amount of time Leeds had to prepare playing Hull,and before you go on one the team on the week off are on standby for this reason .Was sick of hearing Carney going on about it last night.All the teams had agreed this .

That postponed Catalans v Wigan game worked out good for them, any conspiracy theories???
