Saw this tonight. Well worth seeing. May not be quite as good watching on dvd as at a cinema. It was not all wine and roses. Burrow talking about nearly signing for Wigan after McD told him he would not play him in the halves in 2011 and was a bench player at best.
And Sinfield being left out in 2015 was the most intense segment. Hardaker featured heavily and I thought came out of it pretty well. Very well made film.

Enjoyed it tonight and thoroughly recommend to anyone, the sort of narrative JJB has been banging on about to sell RL.

Found it similar to the America's Game type documentaries, but light on action. Would pick out same bits as above (Burrow & Sinfield, McDermott's view on these + JP retirement actually), and Hardaker's comments certainly filled in some spaces in the jigsaw (for me anyway).

I did like the Northern emphasis and the lighter comments. Very limited southern/antipodean voices, the latter I found most surprising.

Brilliant. Truly emotional, a must for every Rhino fan. Having lived the ups and downs described in the film I know how lucky we, the current day supporters, are to have had the pleasure to watch such a dedicated and loyal group of players.
I remember being at Sheffield in April '99 and watching the Rhinos getting beat by the Eagles. I shouted over to Gary H stating that he was "clueless" and "was destroying this club." Hindsight clearly demonstrates that he knew exactly what he was doing and his astute strategies have paid dividends 1000 times over. How will we replace Gary H when he calls time?

I attended a dinner where Kevin Sinfield was the main guest - his view of 2015 was very interesting - it was the year he hated the most. Couldn't wait for it to be over was counting down the training sessions, counting down the minutes in games etc.

It just shows our view as spectators can be so different from that of the players who deliver the entertainment.

The price of thats is absurd... should be a couple of quid more expensive than the DVD at most. The price difference isn't even that big for hollywood blockbuster fims. I got that new Star wars on Blu Ray for £15

£16 for the DVD isn't too bad. RL fans really are bunch of cheapskates!

Went to watch this last night - it was an interesting if not riveting piece. For me not enough game action - possibly it would have cost too much - not much in the film that wasn't already widely known.

Having said that a really nice tribute to a great team - it does show just how far the standard of the current team has descended in such a short period of time.

who knows Mac could one day be working for Kev at the RFL . I wonder if it was Kev's relationship with Mac that influenced him to finish when he did ? I think he had another year left on his contract

Not seen this yet and it's not a direct comparison but when you consider who we lost from the 2015 squad plus the age of some of the remaining lads imo the Team that won last Years GF defied huge odds showed loads of quality and nothing should take away from their achievement.

Loads of rumours were going round about how Kevs and MCs relationship soured after he announced he was retiring so it's no surprise that this has come to light.

Got the DVD after the game Friday and watched it yesterday. It was good but like Sal said not enough game action. I preferred The Golden Decade DVD that was brought out with pretty much the same people talking about all the Grand Final, WCC and Challenge Cup memories and stories.

In As Good As It Gets the Challenge Cup win is hardly mentioned. To win a major final 50-0 Is a remarkable achievement with records broken everywhere but it was overlooked for me. Hardly a mention of Briscoe's 5 try feat.

But this is Rugby League, so guess what? its not.

Thoroughly enjoyed it, not quite what I expected. This is not a rugby league film as such. Focus is more on the inner workings and inter-personal relationships. Parts got me quite emotional. My partner (not a RL fan) even found it really emotional, as well as funny, and I think it has sparked a wider interest in her for the game, or at least the people inside the shirts.
I quite liked that it wasn't game action heavy, but I think more behind-the-scenes footage could have been a nice touch. Actually catching some of the tense moments talked about on camera would have been immense.
