Looking at doing the Catalan trip this year but haven't done it for what feels like an age.

Do any people on here go regularly at all?

I'm sure the official club trip will be pretty expensive so have any regular goers got any tips on how they have done it? Maybe looking at Barcelona or Llorente for a few days sun either side of the game.

Flights are through the roof with it being a bank holiday.

Ive usually stayed in Barca and got train or coach to Perpignan. Coach is a lot cheaper.

Barca is a great city.

Mayfair world travel fly Leeds to Barcelona Thursday morning and get back Sunday night. Half board basis n transfers included £399 hope that helps

Ryanair got a sale on at the moment if that helps.

But unfortunately by the time the game comes around, they'll have cancelled the flight due to a lack of pilots and put you on a later one going out on the following Monday and coming back on the Tuesday

Anyone driven before?

Not all the way, but we normally stay in Spain, then hire a car and drive up to Perpignnan. It's very easy. Don't try and avoid the pay roads. They are a big part of what makes it so easy.

Thanks all. No doubt it's not going to be cheap but found a few decent deals about. Might just have to accept this will be a bit harder on the wallet.

There was someone who used to post on here who drove down once. Can't remember for the life of me who it was without looking. He had a hairdressers car if that helped lol

Didn't he have a Lotus Elise? I think his nom de plume relected that.
I think he drove down in a day which is really going some.
We've driven down to the Perpignan area for a holiday not to watch the rugby & it's a great drive, but it took us a week going via Dijon & Avignon. Pretty pricy if you use all the toll roads but it is the quickest way to get there.

Hi, driven down a couple of times, when we used to get summer fixtures, so not been for a while. made a holiday out of it and a lesuirely drive, two or three days. A lovely trip either way, Reims , Dijon and Rhone Valley. Last time went straight down, round Paris then Clermont Ferrand and over Millau bridge, either way its brilliant . Not cheap with motorway tolls and hotels but a great trip. Looks like flights getting expensive ,£300 each so worth thinking about driving. A lot easier driving in europe than UK, and the weather is better. Its a carnival atmosphere on matchday and really made to feel welcome . Would definitely reccomend it .
