Moon sounds doubtful, no need to risk anybody in the next three games. Burrow probably banned. Whilst one or both will most likely be back when the playoffs start I'd rather go for a HB combination that we'd be prepared to use if needed in the playoffs.

Either Sutcliffe to HB with Keinhorst to centre or Lilley.

Not sure if this is time to go with Walker at HB.

Think we need to play Walker at FB for this one, if he shows up well in attack AND defence then I think he earns himself the spot in the semi.

Moon won't play, Burrow will probably be banned. Not a must win game as 2nd is virtually there with two more games. Ferres may return for the game, would definitely keep Walker in the squad.

I think id go with Lilly in the halves to be honest as I think he has more chance of playing there this season than sutcliffe. Also try to develop the partnership between sutty and hall.

The main thing to see against Cas is whether we have any plan to stop them scoring and to give us some confidence that we could actually beat them.

nah... Let them thrash us again and make them even more complacent for IF we meet them again at Old Trafford, then hope our GF experience and good memories there can inspire us to turn it on for one night against them....similar to our GF performances against Saints in the past where they'd often thrashed us weeks before only for us to overturn them on the night that mattered.

I think at best we can only hope to beat Cas once this year and I wouldn't want to use that chance up on Friday as if we break the Cas hoodoo I cannot see us beating them twice on the trot

Rested Lynch, McMeeken and Millington last week. I'd guess they'll bring those back in and rest a different 3 or so players and do likewise the following 2 weeks.

I think there's something in that. If we had to go to their place in the playoffs we could perhaps do with a win this week. But we can now only meet at the GF. They beat us again this week then ALL the pressure, talk and expectation is on Castleford to win and we'd get to go in as big underdogs which we'd be fine with.

If we meet in the GF that is, still some SF's for both to get through first.

Even if we do win this week it can be dismissed as a dead rubber so not significant.

i'd contest it it, burrow has a supreme disciplinary record, bet he's never been to red hall. mitigating circumstances. Connor is a and was trying to maim jack walker, burrow being a senior player and team enforcer stepped in to sort him out, caution only.

Burrow is making a personal appearance at Redhall this evening, not simply taking EGP & an automatic one game ban.

Risky, but his record IS exemplary.

Certainly not condoning what Bobz did but if the disciplinary panel do dish out a ban bearing in mind his previous exemplary record and that he will have a maximum of 5 games left in his professional career then the world has gone mad. Common sense should prevail, but then again, this is the RFL......

But if the punishment is a one or two game ban due to (in the RFL's own citation) "light contact", why waste an EGP if he only gets a one game ban anyway?
His record & whatever evidence he brings in his own defence to mitigate the punishment could/should result in at worst a one game ban & he may even get off with a fine.

I can see us going more a less full strength on Friday night. Last home game where we will probably put out a full team as it's a short turnaround to the semi final after the last super 8s game.
