| Watching them today reminded of the way Leeds used to play years ago.
It would be interesting to see them in this mood against the Storm - irresistable force against the immovable object
Moylem is the stand out player in the NRL at the moment - he was brilliant today

They have to get through Canberra yet, which won't be easy. But yes, they play some nice rugby and don't seem as rigid as a lot of the top NRL sides are in regards to attack.
Maybe Zak will be returning with an NRL ring yet

If Hodgson is out that will be a big blow to the Raiders
Broncos v Cowgirls should be a good game - at home the Cowgirls should be too strong
Still think the Storm will do it

| Storm have been most consistent, but if one of Canberra or Penrith can make it I wouldn't bet against them in a one off game. They've certainly been the most entertaining teams this year.

| That Penrith length of the field try under the posts was as good as you get - a sublime piece of rugby league at its best. I agree Moylem is a joy to watch . Penrith play the game the way it should be played . Could watch them all day.

| Its Moylan not Moylem. If they win the comp Hardaker would be the spawniest get to win a ring since Harvey Howard with the Broncos way back. He's not doing anything much but Griffin likes him on the bench because he can cover 1-5.

I was thinking the same thing. The way they were offloading and the angles they were hitting was something to behold. They seem to have a good group of youngsters given a licence to play...I like it

This is the key. Most NRL sides have players who given the licence could really be fantastic to watch. The game has gone all percentages, completions and 'winning the arm wrestle' though which is a big shame. I hope we see more sides taking this philosophy and we may start to see a far more enjoyable product accross the board and that includes SL.

I really hope not, Melbourne are easily the worst team to watch down under, they are all about wrestling and field position.
I think Canberra will beat them if they get past Penrith as they should have Austin and Hodgeson back by them, if they go out next week I think they can count themselves very unlucky for loosing arguably their 2 best players at the worst time

| As I don't watch the NRL on tv, how is Hardaker doing?

| Difficult to determine as he usually only gets on for the final quarter out wide at left centre. This week Penrith had Waqa Blake (I think it was) with his arm hanging limp by his side but he played on with Hardaker pacing the touchline for a while. Appears to go OK when given a run but needs more game time to make a proper assessment.

| Griffin just sees him as solid and someone who can replace 2-5 with virtually no disruption. Plus if Moylan moves to 6 he can cover full back. But like you say its really hard to tell how he's going.

Think Blake is ruled out so a good chance Hardaker will start against the Raiders. Big unexpected chance to make a mark.

PENRITH has been forced into a backline shuffle as the club prepares for a must-win semi final clash with Canberra in the nation’s capital.
Hulking centre Waqa Blake is a late withdrawal after failing to overcome a shoulder injury.
He will be replaced in the backline by Zak Hardaker, and either prop Moses Leota or young playmaker Te Maire Martin will come onto the bench.
Canberra, meantime, have been boosted by the inclusion of Josh Hodgson and Blake Austin.
