| After today we need a much better performance than that to beat Salford. this game is massive in terms it will near enough gaurentee super league status for next season. It will be huge for Salford as a loss will put them in a place where they need to win all their remaining games vs Featherstone, London and Batley to get into the million pound game.
McGuire picked up a injury today which I think will keep him out the rest of the season. Not sure how singleton or burrow are but I expect they both will return for this game, especially after Mullallys poor performance today. Play Lilley in the halves and Moon back in the centres.

| Agree with that 17 Frosties. Although I would leave Ward out until the Batley game.
We are very soft at 6 and 7 which is a worry.
Biscuit bones out injured again might be a blessing in disguise though.

| The Salford coach after their loss last night.
Salford coach Ian Watson: "It was error after error and with our poor completion rate we had no chance of winning the game.
"We have got to get together as a group and reassess, but it is going to be difficult avoiding the fourth v fifth play-off (Million Pound) match now.
"Going to Leeds next is the be all and end all and we have to win. Super League has been and gone. We did a decent job there but this is a different competition.
"We don't seem to be focused on how serious a competition this is, players' careers are at stake."
The poor completion rate obviously would be a worry from their perspective game wise, but that last sentence from him about players not being focused on the seriousness of the situation is alarming especially coming a week after they lost to Leigh and needed a response.

| Bench at best, he'll never get past Achurch. Must be thankful "Big Mitch" is leaving at the end of the year so he has a chance at a starting spot in the second row next season.

| I presume Stevie hasn't played yet since the injury? Seen he has been around the squad once or twice. Am going to be coming down for the Leigh game (woo!) - hopefully will see him in that if he doesn't get any game time beforehand.

| Seen some 5h1te at Headingley this year, and this is very close to topping the lot at the moment. Both sides very very poor. Very low quality. Without Segeyaro and Moon we have nothing.

| Another dire performance started well, but then not looked like scoring until the sin binning, really need a big second half even though that's stating the obvious, otherwise can see them sneaking it.

| Agree, thought we looked far better with Lilley on the pitch.
I'd also say that was probably the best game Cuthbo has had all year. Looked dangerous and didn't give cheap ball away.

| Granted nothing to write home about with the performance but to say it was the potentially the sh*test this year when we've had Cas run circles around us and HKR beat us easily at Easter to name but a few is the usual exaggerated nonsense from the usual suspects.
Job done and a big win versus Batley next week pretty much guarantees our safety (still a chance after that us, Hudds. HKR and Leigh could all end on 10 points but our points difference is looking very good with Batley at home still to come)
Salford.....that's looking dodgy (they have the 3 'lesser' Championship teams now so should still climb up to 8 points). Should still be in the MPG but looking like an away game. If against Leigh that's awkward and they've already lost there.....but could even be against SL opposition which will be interesting.
The point I made after week 1 and Hudds then having a 'good' run of fixtures in terms of the 3 'easier' Championship teams compared to Salford's fixtures certainly showing itself now.

| The point of potentially the worst was made first half hour of game, hence the potentially point, and why it said "at the moment", but I am sure you knew that really. Had you been there you would have agreed, or at least someone who doesn't look for excuses all the time would. That first half was two horrendous teams, hence the posting. The fact Leeds got some more try's in the second half was more to do with Sutcliffe going off which forced the change for Lilley to be in, and the fact that Salford really are an extremely poor side and did not look interested.
For me, without a shadow of a doubt, without the signing of Segayaro this team would definitely have been in the Salford position, but less likely to retain Super League status. Thank god we brought him in, as tactics wise, and other performances, the rest haven't improved since the start of the year and throughout. Playing lower level teams doesn't mask that. But that's my opinion, someone has a different one so be it.

| no I agree. the first half was shocking. dire. there was no shape, tactics nothing. lilley brought an organisation we were in desperate need of. burrow/moon combination was abysmal. his kicking game was good, guided us around the park and enabled us to get a foothold. once we clicked the last 30 was pretty good.
lets not be beat around the bush though, Salford were shocking. theres no doubt we need changes going forward

| The reason it was CR*P is that now we are nearly at full strength when before we were scraping the barrel , we have very little in the way of organisation or set plays and rely nearly totally on Segs and he aint going to be here next year . Salford were awful yet it took a freak try to get us on the way .

| People seem to miss the point that relegation brings a whole different scenario. All that matters is the win.
It's doesn't matter how we win as long as we do.

| To try and find some positives a win is a win and virtually guarantees safety now with a win over Batley next week securing survival.
It was a poor game especially 1st half tho in 1st 10 i thought we started well but then went back into walking pace rugby like we have most of the year.
Cuthbo brought some good impact off bench i thought. Great to see Wardy come thru ok bar the ringing in his ears from Salford hitting him round head everytime he had ball.
That guy on the wing......Hall.........seem to remember him getting a pass about a year ago and looking useful. Might be an idea to use him occassionally going forward but i doubt it will happen.
Lilley kicked well in 2nd half both from hand and tee but still not seen him create anything but he defended well on right hand side which was a positive.
I was pleased with win over Wigan but other than that when was the last time you left Headingley excited at what you had watched??? Saints in play off semi last year for me.
