| North Stand seats minus 985
South Stand seats plus 2233
South Stand standing minus 1542
Overall minus 294
South Stand work is first to commence late August 2016 subject to planning approval etc. to take 1 year or so although I got some contradictory comments about the start date so don't take this as gospel. Ground capacity cut to 13,400. Lack of standing to be accommodated short term in other areas of the ground notably the Western Terrace which is under-utilised at present. Club likely to offer less tickets to away teams as a result.
North Stand and cricket side to commence August 2017, or late 2017 in any event subject to planning etc. Seated season ticket holders to be accommodated in other areas of the ground notably the new SS seats and Carnegie seats.
Mainly cricket driven to secure World Cup in 2019 and also Test cricket beyond 2019 when, without investment like this, Headingley would probably drop off the off the International scene altogether.
More corporate hospitality areas and options in the North Stand going forward including seats specifically set aside for the hospitality market.
Total cost of everything £36m - £40m funded 50% ish from sale of land and the rest from existing resources of Leeds Rugby and YCCC. Little or no debt to be taken on.

| While I think the new development of the stadium is great, and well over due, how are the club allowed to get away without doing something for the away end? as an "away" supporter to your ground, it is down with the worst (not being a troll, simply from someone who stands in that end in the rain with no cover), I thought framing the future was supposed to address this.. Apart from Cas (who are correcting this with a new stadium) I can't think of another SL team who has an open air away end. Does the club have any intention of addressing this?

| The houses and footpath behind the WT have traditionally been the block on any significant development on that end. I got soaking wet at Wembley a few years back so Leeds can't really be described as "getting away" with anything.
Unlike other clubs who had to sell their stadiums, their control, their future finances and their souls, Leeds are staying in their home and doing it with their own money. If the cost of that is not having a roof on one end for the time being, compared to handing over control and money to a 3rd party, I'd say that's by far in the best interests of Leeds and RL in general.

No! The club should prioritise it's own fans first. The away numbers fluctuate too much to accommodate them in my opinion. Wigan, Saints, Hull 1 and 2, Wire and Cas will generally be decent followings. The others not so much. I and many other Leeds fans stand on the WT too through choice and it isn't that bad. Much more preferable to soulless, breeze-block, flat pack stadia. If it's really persisting down you could always go round the back of the North Stand and into the Carnegie Terrace but don't say I told you.

| I don't see why we cannot put a retractable canvas roof up on the WT. It would cost around the million mark, but couldn't be done until the SS is complete as that would be a grounding point on one side

| Can anybody clear something up for me if at all possible?!
ST holder in SS will have to go for a TERRACED ST either in WT or Carnegie Terrace in order to gain priority for SS Terrace in new stand?
Could said person not pay extra for a seat but also get priority for SS Terrace?
A bit confusing I know, apologises.

How many more times do you need telling ? It's just bee explained to you again several times and how dare you accuse Leeds of getting away with anything when they are spending their own money on rebuilding Their own stadium? But the real reason these fans of ragamuffin clubs are saying stuff like this is Jaelousy

Cas been getting a new stadium for 15 years. Still not built or any sign of it being built either.

| If it's going to rain dress accordingly.
When it rains, those in the front of the new North Stand will get wet particularly if the rain comes in from the south west - which is the most common direction.
I can get soaked walking from where I park my car to the ground.
As Billy Connolly has said "no such thing as bad weather just bad clothing."

| Or - and here's a novel idea - if you're that worried about getting wet pay to sit or stand in a part of the ground that's under cover.
Don't buy a ticket to stand on an open terrace then complain about it afterwards.

| For me, I'm not sure how we cannot flatten the WT and put a stand exactly like Salford away stand. It probably wouldn't be higher than the stand reaches now and would be feasible for me.
But that is for another time of course and maybe in the future that will happen.
I for one cannot wait to see the plans become reality. I was abit cautious of the seats being put in, but it's very understandable.

I think something like you said will happen somewhere further down the line .The club did say there will be improvements to the western terrace.

| Brilliant news. We'll get rid of the South Stand yobs earlier. I was assured at the Carnegie Cafe that they'll encourage familes in the new South Stand and are really happy how much easier it will be to steward. Now let's start watching our Rugby League in peace instead of having to endure the incessant drone these drunken lower class yobs think is an "atmosphere".
I'll even probably move my seats there myself when the time comes. Roll on August!

| I doubt any work will be done on the WT until Leeds can get the kind of stand that they want. As all the other stands will be done now, you can't have a new WT that reduces capacity.
I'd imagine around a 10 year period at least will be needed after the North & South Stand redevelopments in order to replenish the Headingley coffers, then you may see a focus on the WT.

| I wonder if they considered making the southstand all seating and the north stand all standing. There is plenty of room behind the southstand to build a large stand.

At the WT end there's plenty of room, at the Carnegie Stand end there's not much room at all.
