Why not? We wouldn't have gotten this success without the efforts the likes of Stevie Ward and Aiton made this year. Those two in particular are just as deserving of a ring.

Because as good as they've been, they didn't contribute to the final. Josh Walters scores the winning try. He wouldn't have played if Ward was fit.
Also, where do you stop? Mulhern, R.Ward both contributed to the season. Do they get a ring too? It should just be the 17.

But they contributed to getting to the final in a massive way. You stop where the management decide to stop. You may even get conditioners getting a ring too. By the sound of what McDermott is saying about the state of the players, the physio probably does deserve one!

What constitutes "a massive way?" Josh Walters contributed more than Stevie Ward in terms of where the trophy ended up. Despite Ward being awesome all season. That, you can't deny. I would feed like a total fraud if I got a grand final ring, having not played in the final.

If it wasn't for the likes of Ward and Aiton we probably would've ended up playing away in the semi's and possibly losing.....meaning Walters would've never got the chance to do what he did at Old Trafford.

Players don't get a medal/ring when they win the LLS so this is their reward for the season long effort that went in. If the squad got a medal for the LLS then you might have a point, but they don't so a winners ring is a suitable reward.

As printer previously stated there are 25 rings to be given out. 18 players minimum will get one as generally your 18th man gets one of them then the rest are decided by the club.

Just for incentive and encouragement, Phil Clarke should get a ring.

It'll be interesting to see who out of the golden generation is the last one playing and if he can become the one with most medals / rings etc .Of course there are only 3 left I think Magsy. Rob and JJB

McGuire probably has the best chance of lasting longer. Whether we win anything more over the next few years is debatable of course.

when those 3 go it really will be end of an era something for you to tell grand kids about like us who can remember 1961 and the Roy Francis era.I never thought I would see an era like this I can just about remember the late 1950s but this 21st century team is the best
