Yes but shush! There's an entire 40 mins left yet, that's plenty of time for Clubb, Flower, O'Loughlin & Tomkins to be offside, hit high and put some cheap shots in.

| Not praying. At the end of the day we have to Raise our level 10 fold to take advantage of what may present itself tonight. However, yes it would be nice to get a favour done for once!
BTW the hudds. Result is of no relevance really if we want to finish top.if saints win tonight and we win next week we are top, simple as that.

I don't mind RU. It's a more technical and tactical game. But played both codes in forwards so may have more interest.
As an event it puts our World Cup the other year to shame.

| What a finish. Cracking match. Well done to Saints, who's defence was incredible, surviving so many drop outs. Roby is a machine.

So.In our hands.Win we finish top lose and we likely finish 4th.

What decisions? Hicks got one thing wrong all night, and yes it was against Saints. What an amazing ref performance that was.

Well the forward pass was a classic 'momentum' throw. It clearly went backwards out of the Saints player's hand, so that was one, but I'm also going to call him for the penalty he gave Wigan at the play the ball, when the Pie threw it against a prone McCarthy-Scarsbrook to get the decision.

So did I but it still doesn't stop union being really boring. And I don't accept it's more technical.
And no it won't put the RLWC to shame because it was a great world cup but unfortunately few people watched it because the likes of radio 5 live didn't bang on about it for weeks before and it also seems RU fans have endless wads of cash that they'll pay to watch any old drivel.
I'd have gone to every RLWC game bit I couldn't afford it even with the reduced prices.
RU doesn't even care about its own fans. Hence high ticket prices and babies have to pay to get it. What a middle class joke.

| Hardly a miracle but Saints showed good character to hold on until their chance came.
Three wins from history, two defeats from a repeat of last year.

The one wigan kicked was the worst of those three decisions imo. Thought the forward pass was 50/50 and the other was one of the standard 2 or 3 that seem to get awarded against LMS for rank stupidity every game. But then again, I don't like to see a player milk a penalty quite as blatantly as Flanders did, particularly during such a compelling game.

I dont disagree from a personal view, but he didn't move so by the rules was a penalty. Like I said only the forward pass he got wrong.

I would agree that League is a better spectacle, I would disagree Union is really boring.
It does put the RL World Cup to shame unfortunately. Not in terms of on field but in terms of support and atmosphere.
It's not just a load of toffs who play and watch it. My old man came from armley and played to a very high standard of RU. I played and watch and I am far from middle class with wads of cash.
Union is a more technical game, which is one of the reasons it's not as easy on the eye to watch.
We certainly have a chip on our shoulders in general in RL when it comes to RU

Traitor
(Seriously...you missed an absolutely fantastic match. Brutal defence and some superb tries - although I never like the Chris Ashton like the cocky celebration going over the line. However, saying that, George Williams is undoubtedly a shoe in for the GB/England shirt IMO. He is going to be one of the sport's greats.)

His pace and skill remind at the age of 20 remind me of Danny Mags. He's a talent.
Agree about the celebration.
