Great news for Hull KR. I cannot believe we couldn't have found him a similar role to keep him at the club passing on all his knowledge to our 'next generation'

I'm pleased he's coming to us but I always assumed he was staying at Leeds to join the coaching staff

I think this is good news for both parties as its a total clean slate. A new environment for Peacock to thrive on and for Leeds it's a chance to let go of the past. Don't mean that to sound nasty on Peacock but there's only so long you can hold on to past glories

Knowledge is power and Jamie Peacock has knowledge of the game of rugby league in abundance.
Hopefully Rovers will take full advantage of that knowledge, enabling them to reach the next step so to speak, another piece in the red and white jigsaw you might say.

Not too shocked by this. Good clean start for him wish him well. From memory didn't both him and sinny want to get into the administrative side of the game rather than coaching?

Experience shows that it can be difficult to go from being "one of the dressing room" to being their gaffer in some respect.

Much easier to do it with a bunch of players you don't consider to be best mates.

From speaking to people who know him well, he as absolutely no intention of becoming a coach.

thought the timing of the announcement would of been better at the end off the season for leeds really but good luck his record speaks for itself a modern day legend

Why do you think the announcement should have been left until the end of the season? It had been well documented that this was going to be Peacock's last season so what he does after that doesn't impact the team whatsoever.

At least now he can concentrate on his rugby which is no bad thing

At least we know now that there will definitely be no change of heart regards to playing another season unlike the kylie fiasco..... So club can look to recruit(hopefully)and use cap space left by JP

I think it's a good move all round. KR get to tap into his knowledge and experience and JP learns a new role away from the pressure of Headingley. If her have stayed in a similar role, the expectations would have been massive. Hopefully in a few years we see him back at Headingley

I think he is making the right decision going for a clean slate over in Hull.

Hopefully we will see him back at the club a few years down the line.

Never got into Football Manager. Find it too long and boring. Why do they say football in rugby? It isn't football its rugby. He's a rugby manager.

Oh dear here we go, football has various versions codes. Football (American) football (Aussie rules) Gaelic, association football (football/soccer) rugby football (league or union)
So it is acceptable and always has been to call rugby football.

I am constantly telling Americans that they are entitled to call their game 'Football' because it's another code of football like all the ones you have listed." Jeez buddy I never knew that Rugby and soccer were football too"

Americans are a bit weird and different when it comes to sport......or most things actually.

A team wins a competition over there, whether it be American Football, Baseball, Basketball.....and the Yanks pronounce them as WORLD Champions and everyone agrees.

Leeds not only win the GF, but the World Club Challenge and it apparently makes our sport a joke to call us WORLD champions.
